  • Publication number: 20230167911
Abstract: A two-component rotary valve for controlling the fluid flow through a fluid conduit, the rotary valve being injection-moulded in two steps with no need for assembly after the injection moulding procedure. The rotary valve comprises a valve house with a plug inside it, and the rotary valve has sealing means in the form of local variations in the radius of the plug and house along their lengths. Thereby, a rotary valve is obtained which does not require a viscous sealant, such as silicone, to eliminate the risk of leakage, when the valve is open.

  • Publication number: 20220133979
Abstract: A two-component cross valve for controlling the fluid flow through a fluid conduit, the cross valve being injection-molded in two steps with no need for assembly after the injection molding procedure. The valve comprises a valve house with a plug inside it, and it has sealing means in the form of variations in the transverse sectional area of the plug and house along their lengths. Thereby, a cross valve is obtained which does not require a viscous sealant, such as silicone, to eliminate the risk of leakage, when the valve is open.

  • Patent number: 8647030
Abstract: A core drilling system is disclosed herein in which a torque tube has a groove or keyway which receives a rotating wheel or key to prevent a transmission box and motor from rotating during drilling operation. As such, the operator does not need to hold a stabilizing arm to resist counter rotational forces during the drilling process. The operator may focus on the hole to be cut in a substrate. Additionally, a torque tube stabilizing leg assembly may be secured to the free distal end portion of the torque tube.

  • Publication number: 20060121565
Abstract: The present invention provides a host cell comprising a nucleic acid sequence encoding a recombinant polypeptide in which the production of a naturally occurring metalloprotease comprising a sequence provided in SEQ ID NO:1 has been reduced or inhibited by genetic manipulation. The present invention also relates to methods for enhancing the production of a polypeptide from a cell by disrupting the synthesis or activity of the metalloprotease. In particular, the present invention relates to methods for enhancing the secretion of recombinant polypeptides from host cells such as, but not limited to, yeast and bacterial cells. The metalloprotease is a member of the pitrilysin subfamily of proteases, characterized by comprising the sequence HXXEH (SEQ ID NO:1), where X is any amino acid.
