The method comprises the steps of: selecting at least one machine part of the liquid processing system; calculating an expected remaining usable time based on an estimated life time of the machine part; determining at least one real-time operating condition of the at least one machine part; and providing the expected time for maintenance and the at least one operating condition as data for enabling a decision whether to perform maintenance of the machine part or not.
