  • Publication number: 20040068229
Abstract: The invention relates to a system for administering muscle relaxant to a patient. The system includes an infusion pump (102) adapted for delivering said muscle relaxant to a patient, and a controller (101.) adapter for controlling the operation of said infusion pump on the basis of at least one received input value. Further the system includes measuring means (103) adapted for continuously measuring the effect of said muscle relaxant on the patient and adapted for supplying a value representing said measured effect as said input value to said controller. According to the invention, on basis of said at least one input value, said controller is adapted for selecting a control value from a set of predetermined control values as the value to be used for controlling said infusion pump. The invention also relates to a method of administering muscle relaxant to a patient and to a testing apparatus adapted to be used for testing the automatic operation of a system for administration of muscle relaxant to a patient.

  • Publication number: 20030000211
Abstract: In an internal-combustion engine having an exhaust-gas driven supercharger (8) and having at least two exhaust-gas valves (2, 3) per cylinder, a first exhaust-gas valve (2) in each cylinder is connected to a first exhaust manifold (4), whilst a second exhaust-gas valve (3) in each cylinder is connected to a second exhaust manifold (5). The two exhaust manifolds (4, 5) lead to at least one exhaust-gas turbine in at least one turbo compressor and the first exhaust-gas valves (2) are arranged to be opened at all engine speeds, whilst the second exhaust-gas valves (3) are arranged to be opened only at higher engine speeds. The first exhaust manifold (4) has a smaller flow area than the second exhaust manifold (5). By choosing which exhaust-gas valves are to be used, the size of the flow ducts between engine and exhaust-gas turbine can easily be suited to the size of the exhaust-gas flow which is available at the time.

  • Patent number: 4691493
Abstract: A thin plate structure such as a deck structure for, for instance, a footbridge comprises at least two abutting and substantially horizontally arranged profiled girders. Each girder comprises at least two substantially vertical plate-shaped side members. The girders are interconnected two by two by means of a plurality of connection fittings in these side members. These connection fittings are formed by locking lifting and comprising at least one downwardly pointing locking tongue cut out in one of the side members of each girder. Along a preferably horizontally extending bent bending area the locking tongue is bent in an offset manner outwards. The locking tongue co-operates with a locking tongue opening punched out opposite the locking tongue in the abutting side member of the adjacent girder as well as with at least one upwardly pointing locking gill punched out of one of the side members in each girder.
