  • Publication number: 20130048096
Abstract: A pump system that includes a pump, an injector and a regulator with a calculation unit. The regulator controls the pump to pump a liquid through a hose to the injector which opens and closes in response to an injector control signal, the time for an opening and closing cycle being called injector cycle and designated Ts, and the injector's open period being designated ?. The injector has a pressure sensor to measure the pressure of the liquid in the injector and to deliver to the calculation unit a pressure sensor signal representing the pressure amplitude in the injector. The calculation unit calculates the hose's rigidity B as a function of measured pressured amplitudes A in the injector, the injector cycle Ts and the injector's open period ?, and the regulator determines the basis of B the control signal to the pump.

  • Patent number: 8289952
Abstract: A voice-over-IP (VoIP) connection is established over a radio interface with a mobile radio station. A current radio condition for the VoIP connection is determined, and from that, a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) for a portion of the VoIP connection. A VoIP voice encoding mode for a portion of the VoIP connection is selected based on the determined modulation coding scheme. VoIP voice is then encoded into a number of VoIP encoded frames using the selected VoIP voice encoding mode which has an associated bit rate. An optimal number of VoIP encoded frames is included in a VoIP packet for transport over the VoIP connection given the selected voice encoding mode and the selected MCS. Other adjustments may be made to ensure robustness of the VoIP connection and/or to maximize capacity.

  • Patent number: 8228867
Abstract: The invention concerns methods, a device and computer program products for simplifying handover back to a restricted local access point from an unrestricted global access point as well as to a device implementing a restricted local access point for provision in a wireless network and a wireless network. In the network a restricted local access point hands over a mobile station to an unrestricted global access point and provides data enabling the restricted local access point to be identified as a candidate access point. A device for simplifying handover back determines that the restricted local access point is a candidate for further handover based on this data and informs the mobile station about the restricted local access point via the unrestricted glob access point. Thereby hand over may be considered also to the restricted local access point in addition to other surrounding access points.

  • Publication number: 20120132488
Abstract: A brake monitoring device for sensing a value which reflects the actuation and/or release stroke of a thrust element of a brake actuating mechanism, which thrust element is guided in a housing of a brake caliper. The thrust element acts via a brake lining onto a brake disc by a lever. A sensor is configured to detect variations of a physical quantity at least one component of the brake actuating mechanism. The sensor and component are arranged such that relative movement between them generates constantly repeating variations of the physical quantity along a path. The path is formed between the component of the thrust element and the sensor in axial direction of the thrust element by means of a linear extension from the end of the thrust element facing the brake disc, axially away from the brake disc.

  • Patent number: 7970400
Abstract: A telecommunications network comprises a base station node (28) which provides plural sets of radio transmission resources (52) for communicating with mobile stations (30) in a cell (40). At least one set (521) of radio transmission resources of the cell is a non-hopping set of radio transmission resources including a resource which may carry the BCCH, and other sets (521-52n) of radio transmission resources of the cell are hopping sets of radio transmission resources. A base station controller (26) node schedules calls comprising voice over internet protocol packet flows on the non-hopping sets of radio transmission resources in accordance with capacity of the non-hopping set of radio transmission resources. When the non-hopping set of radio transmission resources lacks capacity for a further call with a mobile station, the base station controller (26) node requests that the call be changed from a voice over internet protocol packet flow to a circuit switched connection.
