  • Publication number: 20240140412
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for controlling a vehicle. The vehicle shares a traffic infrastructure with a cyclist. The method comprises detecting the cyclist and a location of the cyclist. Subsequently, based on a body pose of the cyclist and a map information, a cyclist path is estimated along which the cyclist is expected to be travelling. Moreover, the method comprises determining whether the vehicle path and the cyclist path interfere with one another. A location of interference of the vehicle path and the cyclist path is determined respectively if the vehicle path and the cyclist path interfere with one another. Additionally, an interference risk describing whether the vehicle and the cyclist risk to interfere with one another at the location of interference is determined and a reaction maneuver is triggered.

  • Publication number: 20240144703
Abstract: A method for detecting that a driver of a vehicle is using a handheld electronic device can comprise capturing or receiving at least one image of the vehicle showing at least a partial frontal view of the vehicle including the driver, determining a face orientation of the driver based on the at least one captured image, determining whether at least one pupil of the driver is shown in the at least one captured image, and inferring that the driver is using the handheld electronic device if the face orientation is downwards and no pupil of the driver is shown in the at least one captured image, or if the face orientation is straight ahead and no pupil of the driver is shown in the at least one captured image.

  • Publication number: 20240127600
Abstract: A method for providing an object information to a vehicle having at least one camera unit can comprise receiving, by a system comprising a processor, at least a first object information request from the vehicle, wherein the first object information request comprises an object position estimate and a request for at least one additional image of the surroundings of the vehicle comprising the position being described by the object position estimate, and providing, by the system, at least one additional image of the surroundings of the vehicle comprising the position being described by the object position estimate to the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20240059292
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for controlling a first vehicle travelling along a planned trajectory. The method comprises detecting a stopped second vehicle being located downstream of the first vehicle, detecting an identification feature of the second vehicle, transmitting an assistance request to a central control entity, receiving an information describing an amount of vehicles being positioned downstream of the stopped second vehicle and triggering a lane change maneuver or an overtaking maneuver. Additionally, a method for assisting the first vehicle in travelling along a planned trajectory is disclosed. Moreover, a method for providing an information describing an amount of vehicles being positioned on a planned trajectory of a first vehicle at a position downstream of a stopped second vehicle is presented.

  • Patent number: 11327238
Abstract: A housing for enabling coupling of light from a light source to an optical light guide. The housing allows for the optical light guide to rotate about its axis with respect to the housing and a light source while at the same time maintaining the optical coupling with the light source. Accordingly, it is desirable to couple light from a light source to an optical light guide, where the optical light guide is freely rotatable about its axis. This is obtained by a locking mechanism of the housing where the light source is arrangeable. The locking mechanism includes a circumferential structure adapted to receive at least one radial locking member of the optical light guide. The circumferential structure is configured such that the optical light guide is rotatable about its axis in the locking mechanism while maintaining a spatial relationship between the end portion of the optical light guide and the light source.

  • Patent number: 11124111
Abstract: A deformable carrier assembly adapted to hold an elongate light guide in a vehicle, the deformable carrier assembly including: a first component adapted to receive and retain a first portion of the elongate light guide and including a break-away pin at an end thereof; and a second component adapted to receive and retain a second portion of the elongate light guide and including a loop structure at an end thereof; wherein the loop structure is adapted to engage the break-away pin and couple the first component to the second component; and wherein the break-away pin is adapted to be sheared off of the end of the first component and decouple the first component from the second component when a lateral force is applied to one or more of the first component and the second component.

  • Patent number: 10907803
Abstract: Lamp assemblies for illuminating interior or exterior spaces of a vehicle are provided. In one implementation, a lamp assembly includes a housing having a frame, the housing being adapted to at least partially cover a light device installed within the housing. Light radiating from the light device passes through an opening in the frame. The lamp assembly further includes a lens adapted to be removably connected to the frame of the housing. When connected to the housing, the lens is adapted to refract the light radiating from the light device through the opening in the frame. When the lens is connected to the frame of the housing, a shortest path between the light device and the lens is defined by a z-axis. The lens may include one or more slide components to allow the lens to slide into or onto the frame along an x-axis that is perpendicular to the z-axis.
