  • Patent number: 6813885
Abstract: An actuating device (1) for carrying out mechanical work by means of a slave piston rod (5) in a hydraulically-operated slave cylinder (2), where the actuating device (1) is made up of a hydraulic pump (3) integrated with a slave cylinder (2) and where the hydraulic pump (3) is driven by a linear electric motor, which consists of a pump piston (7) which is used as rotor in the linear motor at the same time as the pump piston (7) functions as a pumping piston in the hydraulic pump (3) to build up a hydraulic pressure in the slave cylinder (2).

  • Patent number: 6748907
Abstract: A device that includes a combustion engine with a piston that is mechanically freely movable in a housing. The device permits combustion of a fuel mixture to produce a pushing force to the piston. The device includes an electromagnetic energy transducer and an external current circuit, which is connected to the energy transducer for exchange of effect in a direction to or from the energy transducer. A control unit controls the direction of the effect, which is exchanged between the energy transducer and the external current circuit, during operation of the device. Such a device can be used to generate electrical energy, and can be employed in a vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20030024492
Abstract: The invention refers to a device, which includes a combustion engine (1) with a piston (2), which is mechanically freely movable in a housing (3). The device is arranged to permit combustion of a fuel mixture in order to produce a pushing force to the piston (2). The device includes an electromagnetic energy transducer (21, 22) and an external current circuit (34, 41), which is connected to the energy transducer for exchange of effect in a direction to or from the energy transducer. A control unit (12) is arranged to control the direction of the effect, which is exchanged between the energy transducer (21, 22) and the external current circuit, during operation of the device. The invention also refers to a use of such a device for generating electric energy, and a vehicle with such a device.

  • Patent number: 5332959
Abstract: A device for control of power (P) generated by a gas turbine (1) which drives an electric generator (2) with a rectifier (3) connected thereto, comprises a control member (6) adapted to control the fuel supply of the gas turbine (1) in such a way that the inlet temperature (T) of the gas turbine is caused to correspond, at least substantially, to a predetermined value (TR). A direct-voltage network (4) with controllable voltage (U) is connected to the rectifier (3) and the control member (6) generates a voltage control signal (URs) which is supplied to the direct-voltage network (4) .
