    Abstract: A mobile communications system includes a plurality of location areas for providing mobile communications services to mobile subscribers. A first set of services is provided to subscribers in a first location area. A second set of services is provided to mobile subscribers in a second location area. When a mobile subscriber leaves the first location area and enters the second location area, the second set of services supported by the second location area is communicated to the mobile subscriber. In an example embodiment, the determination of the second set of services supported by the second location area and the communication of that second set of services to the mobile subscriber are performed as an intelligent network type service.
