  • Patent number: 11603293
Abstract: The present invention relates to an assembly for rotating a suspended load around a substantially vertical axis, the assembly comprising an inner rim configured to have a fixed relationship with the suspended load to be rotated, an outer rim engaging the inner rim in a manner so that the inner and outer rims are configured to perform rotational movements relative to each other during rotation of the suspended load, and a drive unit for performing the relative rotational movement between the inner and outer rims. The assembly of the present invention may be secured to a lifting yoke for lifting wind turbine related components, such as entire wind turbine towers, wind turbine tower sections, nacelles, rotor blades or containers.

  • Publication number: 20220381227
Abstract: A wind turbine structure comprises a surface defining at least in part an opening, and a closure system provided adjacent the opening. The closure system includes an inflatable closure that is inflatable into a deployed state in which the inflatable closure engages the surface so as to cover at least a portion of the opening.

  • Patent number: 11486203
Abstract: A method is for performing work in a well and on a vessel. A wellbore assembly such as a tool string is suspended on a first flexible elongate member from the vessel. The wellbore assembly is used to perform work in the well. The wellbore assembly such as a tool string is suspended on a second flexible elongate member from the vessel. The wellbore assembly on the first flexible elongate member is removed from the well, and after the removal, the wellbore assembly on the second flexible elongate member is inserted into the well. The inserted wellbore assembly in the well can then be used to perform further work. The wellbore assemblies may be deployed and retrieved on independently operable wirelines. A related vessel and apparatus is also described.

  • Publication number: 20080267880
Abstract: This invention provides a high throughput survival assay, using uptake of a marker dye (e.g. a fluorescent dye) as a marker of death of a nematode. The assay permits high throughput screening of thousands of compounds possible. By the application of automated worm handling technology we are able to accurately dispense nematodes into 384 well microtitre plates, at rates many thousand of times faster than previously possible. In addition, we have automated the analysis of survival by the use of a fluorometric plate reader that quantitates the degree of fluorescence within each well.
