    Abstract: A system for automatically actuating the parking brake on a vehicle, such as a truck, includes a parking brake and at least a driver's door lock. The system includes an arrangement for applying said parking brake to an active position as a response to at least said driver's door lock being locked in an active position. The system can include a lock response arrangement which is operable for at least providing a first signal indicating that at least the driver's door lock is locked in an active position; and a hold arrangement for actuating the parking brake to an active position based on the first signal. Thus, it is no longer necessary for a driver to remember to actuate the parking brake, when he or she parks the vehicle, as long as at least the driver's door lock on the vehicle is locked. The manual locking action of the driver's door lock may be further utilized for automatic actuation of the parking brake, i.e. the same manual action may induce two separate functions at the same time.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for mounting rim accessories on a vehicle, the vehicle having rims with fasteners for fastening the rim to a wheel hub, the method including mounting of a bracket including at least two sections, the bracket having a first contact surface along its outer periphery for resting against an interesting contact surface on the inner periphery of the rim, the radially inner contact surface lying substantially parallel to and adjoining an axially outer edge of the rim. The method includes mounting the bracket such that adjoining end surfaces of the sections of the brackets are forced apart, thereby clamping the bracket fast to the rim, and mounting of an accessory on the bracket, the bracket having at least a second contact surface extending radially inwards along the inner periphery of the rim. The second contact surface is provided with at least two openings in each of the sections of the bracket for interaction with at least a corresponding number of fasteners on the accessory.

The method includes mounting of a holder by fasteners of the rim, the holder having a first contact surface for resting against the rim and a second contact surface lying substantially parallel to and at a distance from the first contact surface, and where the mounting of the holder is done by at least two fasteners of the rims interacting with openings in the first contact surface of the holder. The method includes mounting of the wheel cap on the holder by a plurality of fasteners on the inner side of the wheel cap interacting with openings for the fasteners of the rim in the second contact surface of the holder.
