  • Patent number: 9978372
Abstract: A method for analyzing data from a microphone, the microphone being arranged to continuously record audio data, the method comprising: continuously storing the recorded audio data in a buffer, receiving a first triggering signal at a first point in time, the first triggering signal pertaining to a request for analyzing the audio data presently being recorded by the microphone, transferring a predefined amount of recorded audio data stored prior to the first point in time and audio data stored after the first point in time to a conversation analyzing unit. The method is advantageous as the information that was momentarily available during a conversation in the form of sound waves is now analyzed and thus may be converted to a format compatible with information available from other sources of relevance to the user.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 30, 2016
Date of Patent: May 22, 2018
    Assignee: SONY MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS INC.
Inventors: Sven Örthagen, Yiran Sun, Anders Wikander

  • Patent number: 9570106
Abstract: On the basis of a first configuration of one or more imaging sensors, first video data is captured at a first frame rate and a first resolution and second video data is captured at a second frame rate and a second resolution. The second frame rate is higher than the first frame rate and the second resolution is lower than the first resolution. Further, an amount of motion is detected in the captured second video data. On the basis of the detected amount of motion, the at least one imaging sensor is switched to a second configuration. On the basis of the second configuration, third video data is captured at a third frame rate and a third resolution. The third frame rate is higher than the first frame rate and the third resolution is higher than the second resolution.

  • Patent number: 9111274
Abstract: A system may include a communication interface configured to communicate with a mobile device and processing logic. The processing logic may be configured to receive authorization from the mobile device, when the mobile device is located proximate to the system, for a first payment for a good or service, and transmit a communication to the mobile device subsequent to receiving the authorization from the mobile device, where the communication is transmitted when the mobile device is not located proximate to the system. The processing logic may further be configured to receive authorization from the mobile device for a second payment in response to the communication.

  • Publication number: 20140195925
Abstract: A data transfer method may include processing device gesture data at a providing device in response to a gesture made by movement or orientation of one of the providing device (110) and the requesting device (100) while proximately located to the other one of the providing device and the requesting device. The device gesture data may indicate the movement or orientation. The data transfer method may also include initiating a data transfer from the providing device to the requesting device in response to the device gesture data.
