  • Patent number: 9841375
Abstract: Systems for measuring optical properties of a specimen are disclosed. The systems are configured to sample signals related to the measurement of the properties of a specimen, and perform software-based coherent detection of the signals to generate resulting measurements are based on the signals acquired at substantially the same time instance. This facilitates the displaying or generating of the desired measurements in real time. In one configuration, the system is configured to direct a modulated light signal at a selected wavelength incident upon a specimen. In another configuration, the system is configured to direct a combined light signal, derived from a plurality of light signals at different wavelengths and modulated with different frequencies, incident upon a specimen. In yet another configuration, the system is configured to direct a plurality of light signals modulated with different frequencies incident upon different regions of a specimen.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: December 12, 2017
    Assignee: Newport Corporation
    Inventors: Anderson Chen, John Park

  • Publication number: 20090242151
Abstract: A whole-covered sunshade assembly comprises a sunshade plate having an approximate oblong shape; a bottom of the sunshade plate extended with a plurality of retaining sets and a plurality of support seats; each retaining seat having a through hole; each support seat having an penetrating hole; four sunshade curtains; each sunshade curtain being retained to a retaining shaft and can be wound around the retaining shaft; the retaining shaft being retained to the through hole of the retaining seat; at least one support shaft retained to the penetrating holes of the support seat; and a plurality of retaining clamp plates. The retaining shafts are placed into the through holes of the retaining seats; the support shafts are placed into the penetrating holes of the support seats to be fixed therein.

  • Patent number: 6818131
Abstract: A system for the treatment of CMP wastewater, including wastewater from a copper CMP process. The wastewater treatment system includes a coagulant supply tank from which an FSC polymer coagulant is directed into a reaction tank that separately receives the untreated wastewater. The coagulant may be mixed with the untreated wastewater in selected ratios to provide a desired dosing quantity of the coagulant in the reaction tank. As the wastewater and the FSC polymer coagulant are mixed in the reaction tank, the coagulant flocs the slurry chemicals in the wastewater and removes the chemicals from solution in the wastewater as a precipitate before the wastewater is directed to a clarifier. The clarifier separates the flocked precipitate from the wastewater, and the flocked particles settle on the bottom of the clarifier to form a sludge. The sludge is re-distributed back into the clarifier to coagulate inert particles in the wastewater.
