  • Publication number: 20080131220
Abstract: The invention relates to a device (D) for removing by suction chips produced by a cutting machine tool by means of at least one tool (200) actuated by a tool holder module comprising a suction unit forming a low pressure. The tool (200) consists of a cutting part (210) and a standard fixing support (220). The inventive device is characterised in that it is provided with an suction hood (100) which is flexibly connected to said standard fixing support (220) of the tool (200) in such a way that a low pressure is produced around said tool (200) up to the end thereof and is fixedly and accurately connected to the tool holder module in such a way that the suction hood (100) is positioned with respect to the tool (200) forming a space therebetween, thereby enabling the tool to rotate with respect to the hood. Said invention is used for removing chips and fluids produced during a cutting process.

  • Patent number: 6761515
Abstract: A method for lengthening the machining travel of a machine-tool operating at a very high speed, including a tool-carrying ram mobile on three axes. The method combines with the machining movements of the tool-carrying ram along one or several axes, one or several rectilinear movements of the part to be machined by parametering and digitizing the relative travels and speeds of the part to be machined with respect to the tool-carrying ram. The invention also concerns the device for implementing this method and the machine-tool using such a device.

  • Patent number: 6192572
Abstract: A high speed machining machine-tool including a mechanical module having a machining station and a driving station and an equipment module with “n” number different parts located up line. The module bases are connected to a common supporting frame, with the mechanical module being fixedly connected thereto. The equipment module is connected to the machine so as to slide on its longitudinal axis. The different mobile parts of the machine-tool adopt two positions: a first, so-called “folded” position, in which the equipment module and all its parts engage each other and the mechanical module; a second, so-called “extended” position, in which the whole equipment module or a subset of its component parts have slid on the supporting frame towards the rear so as to form a transversal handling passage running through and through the machine. The invention is useful for high speed machining.
