Abstract: An anchor assembly (A) for hollow walls comprises an anchor body (400) and a toggle member (231) that is displaceable between a first position wherein the toggle member (231) is substantially aligned with the anchor body (400) such that the anchor assembly (A) can be inserted in the wall (W) via a cutting distal end (325) of the toggle member (231), and a second position wherein the toggle member (231) extends behind the wall (W) at an angle relative to the anchor body (400) which extends through the wall (W). The toggle member (231) is held captive in the first position but is released and then rotated to the second position by a fastener (218) introduced in the anchor body (400). The fastener (218) threadably engages the toggle member (231) thereby drawing the toggle member (231) against a hidden side of the wall (W).

Abstract: A building block for constructing a wall comprises a main body. The main body has an insulating core with concrete inner and outer shell members. The inner and outer shell members respectively cover inner and outer lateral surfaces of the insulating core. A vertical throughbore in the main body receives a vertical structural member. Top and bottom surfaces of the main body have complementary shapes for mating engagement when blocks are assembled one on top of the other. A female connector at a first end of the main body defines a retaining cavity. A male connector at a second end of the main body has a captive portion of shape complementary to the retaining cavity of the female connector, and blocks engagement in vertical and longitudinal directions when the blocks are assembled end to end. A construction system is also provided.

Abstract: A ceiling hook (H) comprises a fastener (F) for anchoring in a support structure, and a locking ring in the form of an anti-rotation washer (W). The washer (W) includes anchoring teeth (34) for stationarily mounting the washer (W) to the ceiling. The hook member (12) and the washer (W) comprise co-operating locking ratchet elements (22, 28) for locking the fastener (F) to the washer (W) and thus preventing the fastener (F) from loosening from the ceiling. The washer (W) defines at a central opening (30) thereof at least one notch (32) with the fastener (F) defining at least one tab with (26), the notch (32) being slidable through the tab (26) for mounting the washer (W) to the fastener (F) and then allowing it to rotate between the tab (26) and the book member (12), whereby the washer (W) is prevented from being removed from the fastener (F) unless the tab (26) and notch (32) are aligned.
