  • Patent number: 6830468
Abstract: Electrification of a furniture system which has a plurality of structural elements, formed for receiving functional furniture units, comprises multiple plugs (21 or 31) which can be fastened to a part of the structural element and cables (22 or 32) which are carried on a part of the structural element. The cables (22 or 32) have a predetermined length and serve as an electrical connection between multiple plugs (21 or 31) of two neighboring structural elements. The structural elements are preferably closed frames (1, 2 or 19), which are formed from at least two vertical longitudinal struts (5 or 6) and at least two horizontally connecting stays (3 or 4). The multiple plugs (21 or 31) are clipped on the longitudinal struts (5 or 6), in longitudinal slots (7) arranged therein, in such a way that they can be displaced along the longitudinal slots (7). A set incrementation or a fastening means protruding from the longitudinal struts (5 or 6) may also be provided.

  • Patent number: 6733834
Abstract: A process for the manufacture of a coating or doctoring blade comprising a band of steel or other form-stable material and a wear-resistant polymer coating applied on said band along a longitudinal edge section thereof subjected to wear, said process comprising the following steps: (a) providing continuous relative movement between said band and an application and treatment station; (b) continuously applying at said station a fast-curing polymer composition along said edge section; (c) allowing the applied composition to spread out so as to reach the very extreme of said edge section and then to cure to form an elastic and tacky-free coating; and, optionally (d) post-curing the coating at an increased temperature; as an alternative to such process there can be used a blade of double width compared to said first band and continuously supplying a fast-curing composition along a longitudinal central section of double width compared to said edge section and longitudinally cutting said second band along the middle

  • Patent number: 6290516
Abstract: A conductor rail, in particular for the electrification of furniture, has a section member (1) with a longitudinal channel (3.2) in which there are arranged at least two leads (9.1, 9.2) foreseen for the current supply. The longitudinal channel (3.2) is accessible via a longitudinal slot (4.2) in the section member (1) in order to be able to contact the leads (9.1, 9.2) with a plug at any location. The mentioned at least two leads (9.1, 9.2) are arranged sunk in the same lateral wall (5.1) of the longitudinal channel (3.2). The plug is characterised by a snout (16) which can be introduced into the longitudinal slot (4.2), with at least two laterally protruding contact elements (22.1, 22.2) which are formed for contacting the leads (9.1, 9.2) of the conductor rail.

  • Patent number: 5636491
Abstract: A frame construction with several rod elements, which are connected at a node point by a node element (1) that has several holes (2.1, 2.3, . . . , 2.6) which are arranged on principal axes orthogonal to one another in pairs, distinguished in that a hole (2.2) is provided whose axis (s)--located in a plane defined by two principal axes (y, z)--is offset by preferably 15.degree., at most 20.5.degree., with respect to one of the two last-mentioned principal axes (y, z).

  • Patent number: 5496615
Abstract: An exemplary waterproofing membrane comprises a carrier layer having a non-bituminous pressure-sensitive waterproofing adhesive, a protective layer coated on the non-bituminous adhesive, and a second waterproofing adhesive layer on the other face of the carrier to permit adherence of the membrane to a cementious surface and to permit concrete to be cast against the non-bituminous layer and protective coating and to be bonded thereto when cured. Further exemplary membranes comprise a dusted layer on the protective coating to permit foot traffic. The membranes of the invention are useful in so-called horizontal and vertical lagging installations. Methods for waterproofing between cementious surfaces, in tunnels, and on concrete decks are also disclosed.
