  • Patent number: 11647347
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a faceplate for a hearing device, the faceplate configured to cover a lateral opening of a housing of the hearing device and having a side which is laterally oriented when the hearing device is worn at least partially in the ear canal, including the steps of: providing a faceplate base part including a first surface, a faceplate insertion part including a second surface, and a printed circuit board (“PCB”) with an antenna; inserting the antenna PCB into the faceplate base part so that that the antenna PCB extends along the first surface; inserting the faceplate insertion part into the faceplate base part so that the second surface of the faceplate insertion part pushes the antenna PCB against the first surface of the faceplate base part; and fixing the faceplate insertion part within the faceplate base part so as to form the faceplate.

  • Patent number: 10609497
Abstract: A hearing device in accordance with at least one of the present inventions includes a receiver assembly and a retainer assembly, including an anchor and a flexible retainer strip extending from the anchor, configured to be mounted onto the receiver assembly in a predetermined orientation relative to the receiver assembly. The receiver assembly and the retainer assembly include respective elements that cooperate with one another to provide a visible and/or tactile indication that the anchor is in the predetermined orientation when the anchor is in the predetermined orientation and that the anchor is not in predetermined orientation when the anchor is in an orientation other than the predetermined orientation.

  • Patent number: 9992589
Abstract: An ITE hearing aid having a shell worn at least partially in a user's ear canal, a faceplate closing the shell at a side oriented towards the exterior of the user's ear, and at least one microphone housed in the shell and acoustically connected to ambience via a sound port formed in the faceplate. The faceplate has a cover element covering a cavity of the sound port in a direction normal to a main plane of the faceplate and a lateral sound opening in a wall extending normal to the main plane. The cover element is elevated above a surface region surrounding the cover element, with the sound port wall extending between the cover element and this surface region. The shell is designed, with regard to shape and size, in a manner that the hearing aid is manually removable from the ear canal without the need to use a tool.
