  • Patent number: 11277952
Abstract: A weed remover for removing weeds comprising a tube comprising a main portion and a bottom portion at a distal end which is insertable into soil to capture a core sample thereof. The tube is formed of a static portion and of a moving portion which complements the static portion to form the tube, wherein the tube comprises an inner diameter smaller at the distal end than in the main portion. At the distal end, the moving portion extends over an angular range from about 90° to about 150° and the static portion extends over a complementary angular range to form a contour. The bottom portion is formed of a succession of projections and recesses around the contour to form a cutting edge.

  • Patent number: 10856650
Abstract: There is described a scratch-free snow removal tool comprising a flexible blade presenting a sweeping surface extending in a plane. The flexible blade defines a blade edge which is continuous and can be made of silicone or TPE. The blade support is more rigid than the flexible blade. A plurality of fingers is provided, which are more rigid than the flexible blade and extend in the plane of the sweeping surface, from the blade support toward the blade edge without reaching the blade edge.

  • Patent number: 9107490
Abstract: A lockable articulated joint comprises a first member having a ball shaped attachment further having a recess on its periphery. A rotationally symmetric conforming plunger is for movably nesting into the recess. A second member pivotally receives the ball shaped attachment and comprises a plunger holding portion. User alignment of the recess with the plunger holding portion allows configuring the joint in one of at least two selectable locked positions. The articulated joint is usable in a multi-axis articulated implement, in which one member is an elongated end effecter having a working face and the other member is an elongated handle portion. A user may configure the implement in various locked attitudes, wherein a working face's longitudinal axis extends parallel or perpendicular to the handle, or wherein the working face's normal axis extends parallel to the handle. The implement may be embodied into a multi-axis snow brush.

  • Patent number: 8928458
Abstract: A flow control gate system that comprises a first and second elongated barrier members defining a passageway between a first area and a second area. The gate system also comprises a plurality of narrow beam presence sensors with substantially constant spacing therebetween defining a linear array mounted along the first barrier member and defining a presence detection beam orientation crosswise and substantially perpendicular to the passageway. The gate system further comprises a controller electrically connected to the plurality of narrow beam presence sensors. The controller implements an operating program to process signals from the plurality of narrow beam presence sensors and define valid detection periods to determine that an item is detected when a detection period is equal to or longer than a predetermined value and invalid detection periods interpreted as no detection when a detection period is shorter than the predetermined value. A flow control method is further provided.

  • Patent number: 8298417
Abstract: An apparatus for treating greasy waste fluids comprises a fluid inlet which receives the waste fluids, and a waste filtering device positioned downstream from the fluid inlet; the waste filtering device is so configured as to retain at least a portion of the particulate matters contained in the waste fluids. The apparatus further comprises a compartment which is so configured as to receive a slow-releasing grease treating formulation. Also, the apparatus comprises a fluid outlet positioned downstream from the compartment. Furthermore, the compartment is so positioned in a flow path defined between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet as to contact the waste fluids.
