Abstract: A cross reality system enables portable devices to access stored maps and efficiently and accurately render virtual content specified in relation to those maps. The system may process images acquired with a portable device to quickly and accurately localize the portable device to the persisted maps by constraining the result of localization based on the estimated direction of gravity of a persisted map and the coordinate frame in which data in a localization request is posed. The system may actively align the data in the localization request with an estimated direction of gravity during the localization processing, and/or a portable device may establish a coordinate frame in which the data in the localization request is posed aligned with an estimated direction of gravity such that the subsequently acquired data for inclusion in a localization request, when posed in that coordinate frame, is passively aligned with the estimated direction of gravity.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to methods and apparatus for managing packet dropping in the fronthaul network. A method in a packet processing system includes receiving a plurality of data packets for transmission over the fronthaul network, wherein the plurality of data packets include radio data; obtaining first information for the plurality of data packets, wherein the first information is related to transmission of the radio data over a radio access interface in the radio network; and responsive to a requirement to decrease a load in the fronthaul network, selecting at least one of the plurality of packets to drop by applying at least one prioritization rule to the plurality of data packets based on the obtained first information.

The strip (10, 30) has a polymer matrix (12, 32) which envelops elongated steel elements (14, 34) for reinforcing the matrix (12, 32). The steel elements (14, 34) may be steel cords containing a plurality of steel filaments (20, 22, 40, 42). Additionally, a reinforcement grid (60) for soil and ground. Furthermore, applications of this reinforcement strip (10, 30) and grid (60), namely to a reinforced soil layer (80) and to a mechanically stabilized earth structure or retaining wall (82).
