On this holder, thread spool pins (23) are placed, as well as an arm (35), on whose upper end thread guidance elements (33) are fixed. For use, the cover (15) which covers the thread spool holder (24) in the stowed state is opened, and the thread spool holder (24) is pivoted out from the recess (13).

Abstract: In the top transport device of a sewing machine, the top transport foot (15) moves in a vertical slot (27) in the arm (17), with which the top transport foot (15) is driven. This arrangement enables the top transport foot (15) to be displaced upwards into the rest position, so that accessories can be fixed to the presser bar (11).

Abstract: An arrangement for changing bobbins in sewing and embroidery machines is arranged on the cover (13) on the lower arm of the sewing machine (1). With a push-button (45) and a slide (19), the bobbin case (71) with the bobbin (73) lying therein is released from the hook base (75) and made accessible to outside of the sewing machine (1) when the cover (13) is opened.

Abstract: The hook (15) of a sewing machine (1) is mounted so that it can move on a hook carrier. Through a sliding movement of the hook carrier, the hook (15) is brought from its operating position into a bobbin case removal position. Through the sliding movement, the hook (15) with the bobbin case (17) is placed at or above the opening, which is created by the flap (13) in the lower arm (5). In this way, the removal of the bobbin case (17) or the bobbin is made considerably easier.

Abstract: An apparatus for embroidering surface-shaped sewing material includes an embroidery device which is connected, via an intermediate insertion of a distance adapter, to the column or free arm of a sewing machine. By inserting the distance adapter between the embroidery device and the sewing machine the distance between the embroidery device and the free arm or the column of the sewing machine is increased, which makes it possible to use an embroidery frame having a cross-sectional surface which is significantly greater than an embroidery frame which is able to be used if there was simply a direct connection between the embroidery device and the free arm or column of the sewing machine.

Abstract: A device for detachable fastening of an embroidery frame (27) with one or more embroidering fields on an embroidery frame support (25) of a program-controlled sewing or embroidering machine. On the embroidery frame (27), two sliding interlocks (61) are fastened which guarantee a play-free latching in the x and y direction and which, for sliding the embroidery frame (27) in relation to the embroidery frame support (25), move a latching element temporarily out of a latching slot (51). The latching element is configured as a pivotable lever with a downward-projecting detent.

Abstract: A driving apparatus for an oscillating catcher of a sewing machine includes a toothed pinion being eccentrically mounted on a driving shaft for the catcher for the sewing machine. A transmission device, having teeth, is guided in a back-and-forth movement by an oscillating crank drive, with the teeth of the transmission device engaging the tooth pinion on the driving shaft. By arranging the toothed driving gear eccentrically on the driving shaft of the catcher, it is possible to substantially increase the speed of the point of the catcher when it seizes the loop of the upper thread offered by the needle.

Abstract: A method for embroidering tubular material and the use of an embroidering apparatus therewith, in which the embroidering apparatus includes an embroidering device which is attachable to a free-arm sewing machine. The embroidering device has an embroidering frame, which is horizontally displaceable above the free arm of the sewing machine by a first drive in the X-direction and by a second drive in the Y-direction. An intermediate space is formed, permitting the introduction of a tubular material between the embroidering device and the free arm of the sewing machine. By forming an intermediate space between the free arm and the embroidery device, it is becomes possible to clamp tubular textiles and the like, without obstruction, in an embroidery frame and to pull such materials across the free arm of the sewing machine in order to provide the material with embroideries.

Abstract: The device has a column-shaped housing (1) in which there is located a storage magazine (7) for goods (8) offered, a goods chute (2) for dispensing and depositing the goods, electromechanical means (9a-9c) for transporting the goods between storage magazine and goods chute, as well as a control device (10) formed by a computer. There are provided on the housing, accessible from the outside, an operating panel with a keypad (3) and a display (4) and also a magnetic card reader/recorder (6). Implemented by means of software in the computer are a user access control and registration system, a goods storage management system and a customer accounting system. The device is designed so that it can both dispense goods selected via the operating panel and take back corresponding goods again, the movements of goods being automatically registered in a user-specific manner. The device can thus be employed as a goods rental machine, especially for videocassettes or the like.
