Abstract: There are provided compounds of formulas (I) to (XIV) and compositions comprising such compounds. Such compounds and compositions are particularly useful for treating inflammation and/or pain, or for water treatment.

Abstract: There are provided compounds of formula (I): wherein R1 is H, a C1-C12 alkyl, a C2-C12 alkenyl, a C2-C12 alkynyl, a C3-C8 cycloalkyl, a C3-C8 cycloalkenyl, a C6-C12 aryl, a C1-C12 heteroaryl group, —OR2, or each R1 of a same boron atom are connected together so as to form a 4 to 6 membered ring; and R2 is H, a C1-C12 alkyl, a C2-C12 alkenyl, a C2-C12 alkynyl, a C3-C8 cycloalkyl, a C3-C8 cycloalkenyl, a C6-C12 aryl, a C1-C12 heteroaryl or each R2 of a same boron atom are connected together so as to form a 4 to 6 membered ring. The R1 and R2 groups can be unsubstituted or substituted with various substituents when possible. Such compounds are particularly useful for treating inflammation and/or pain.
