  • Ionic conducting gels, preparation method thereof and use of same

    Abstract: A method of preparing an ionic conducting gel in solid form, known as ionogel. The method includes a step of mixing an ionic liquid with at least one molecular precursor containing at least one hydrolyzable group, if necessary in the presence of an acid, such as a carboxylic acid. The mixture is subsequently left to stand for one or more days until a gel is formed by polycondensation of the molecular precursor(s). The gel contains the aforementioned ionic liquid and can be set, in particular in transparent monolithic solid form.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition including an organic phosphorous-containing group bonded via an oxygen atom to a metal oxide of at least one element M. Generally, the composition is essentially amorphous, and includes an essentially monomolecular layer of an organic group directly bonded to the phosphorous atom. In addition, the composition is generally essentially free of any phosphate, phosphonate or phosphinate phase of the element M. Moreover, the composition has a ratio of the element M to phosphorous of about 15:1-200:1.
