  • Publication number: 20240160269
Abstract: A controller is provided. The controller comprises a processor configured to determine multiple power saving modes based on a power saving model of a network communicative road sensing system and on a power saving target assigned to the road sensing system; the multiple power saving modes comprising a first power saving mode for a first power consuming subsystem of the road sensing system and a second power saving mode for a second power consuming subsystem of the road sensing system; generate a recommendation for the road sensing system to operate in accordance with the multiple power saving modes.

  • Publication number: 20240109413
Abstract: Various systems and methods for content adaptation based on seat position or occupant position in a vehicle are described herein. An example implementation for content adaptation based on seat position in a vehicle includes: obtaining sensor data, the sensor data including a seat position of a seat in the vehicle; identifying audiovisual content for output to a human occupant in the vehicle; identifying an occupant position of the human occupant, based on the seat position, for a user experience of the output of the audiovisual content; and cause one or more adjustments to the output of the audiovisual content in the vehicle, via an output device, based on the identified position of the human occupant.

  • Publication number: 20230208454
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a roadside unit with a radio frontend port configured to receive a first signal representing a radiofrequency transmission according to a first radio communication protocol, to receive a second signal representing a radiofrequency transmission according to a second radio communication protocol. A first processing subsystem configured to execute a first baseband process of the first radio communication protocol on the first signal and to generate a first output signal as an output of the first baseband process. A second processing subsystem configured to execute a baseband process of the second radio communication protocol on the second signal and to generate a second output signal as an output of the second baseband process. The first processing subsystem is a first software containerization or a first machine virtualization of the processor, wherein the second processing subsystem is a second software containerization or a second machine virtualization of the processor.

  • Publication number: 20220224121
Abstract: Systems and techniques for power management for a roadside unit (RSU) are described herein. In an example, a system may include a processor and memory coupled to the processor with instructions that cause the processor to receive multiple input factors. The multiple input factors corresponding an environmental condition at a location at which the RSU is located and at least one of a power saving preference for the RSU, a green energy usage preference for the RSU, a type of energy source available to the RSU, a quality of service requirement for the RSU, and a capability of the RSU. The processor may transmit a control packet, including parameters to control a mixture of green energy use by the RSU from a green energy power source and traditional energy use by the RSU from a traditional energy power source to the RSU.

  • Publication number: 20210110713
Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments that provide a transportation environment data service. The transportation environmental data service includes harvesting services that crawl roadside infrastructure solutions to obtain sensor data collected from sensors physically positioned at the roadside infrastructure. In some cases, the roadside infrastructure solutions perform additional processing on the sensor data. For example, some roadside infrastructure performs object detection and/or object recognition. When encountering these solutions, the edge or harvesting service also collects the object detection and/or object recognition information. Customers can subscribe to various data services provided by the transportation environment data service. For example, some subscribers indicate an interest in any updates of environmental data for a particular region. Other subscribers are interested in video data associated with any vehicular accidents detected by the transportation environment data service.

  • Publication number: 20120124470
Abstract: An audio display system includes a pointing device configured to address locations within an interaction field, a sound system adapted to communicate with the pointing device, and—an object mapping unit adapted to communicate with the sound system. The object mapping unit is configured to generate a map identifying locations within the interaction field that correspond to a representation of an object to be displayed such that the interaction field is segmented into an exterior region and an interior region of the representation of the object. The sound system is configured to provide an object-locating sound when the pointing device addresses a location in the exterior region so as to guide a user to further address the interaction field at least one of closer to or further away from the interior region of the object.
