  • Publication number: 20150281789
Abstract: A system (1) comprises a media receiver (10) for receiving a broadcast signal comprising media data, a rendering device (20) for providing an audible and/or visual output from the media data, and a user equipment (30) capable of exchanging messages (M) via an internet service (40), the user equipment (30) having an media item comment option for submitting a message (MSG) about a media item. The user equipment (30) is arranged for issuing a data request signal (DRQ) to the media receiver if the user selects the media item comment option and the media receiver is arranged for providing extracted representative information (RINF) about a portion of the media item that is reproduced when or shortly before the request is received, and for providing said representative information (RINF) to the user equipment (30). The user equipment (30) is capable of including said representative information in said message (MSG) about a media item.

  • Patent number: 7242845
Abstract: A recording arrangement receives reception information including program, picture and/or sound information in a receiving channel of a television program. A detector detects the received program information which characterizes the start and end times of the television programs. A recorder is adapted to record the picture and/or sound information on a record carrier from a recording start time till a recording end time. A recording controller which, when a user of the recording arrangement has defined the recording start time and the receiving channel for a recording, is adapted to propose the end determined by the detector as the recording end time for the recording of the television program that can be received in the receiving channel.

  • Patent number: 7187840
Abstract: A reproducing arrangement for reproducing scenes of a stored film in an overview reproducing mode of the reproducing arrangement, has random access memory means for the storage of audio/video data (AVD) of a film which is reproducible at a normal reproducing speed during a film reproduction time (TW1, TW2), and mode means which enable the overview reproducing mode of the reproducing arrangement to be activated, at least two scenes of the stored film being reproduced in succession at the normal or an increased reproducing speed by the reproducing arrangement in the overview reproducing mode, and a skip scene recorded between two scenes and reproducible at the normal reproducing speed during a skip reproduction time interval not being reproduced in the overview reproducing mode.

  • Publication number: 20060256715
Abstract: Protection switching in a single switching device is done on both the multiplex level and the path level. The performance of a working path signal and a protection path signal in a network element is monitored in separate performance monitoring devices. The monitoring device allocated to the selected path signal is activated while the other one is deactivated. The determined performance values of both monitoring devices are added up at the end of a certain monitoring period and a resulting monitoring result corresponding to the monitoring result of the selected path signal is determined. The path signals are alarm-monitored by corresponding alarm-monitoring devices.

  • Publication number: 20020085830
Abstract: A recording arrangement (1) is adapted to record an information signal (FS) of an information broadcast during a programmed recording time slot (AZ). In order to program the recording time slot (AZ) the recording arrangement (1) can supply OSD information (OSD) in a programming mode of the recording arrangement (1), which information can be displayed by means of a television set (9) connected to the recording arrangement (1) and includes a time/date table (14; 17). In the time/date table (14; 17) selection time slots (AW) of N minutes are shown, which can be marked as a recording time slot (AZ) by a user, as a result of which the recording arrangement (1) is programmed to record the received information signal (FS).

  • Publication number: 20020087989
Abstract: A recording arrangement (1) can be programmed to record an information signal (FS) of an information broadcast by the entry of a broadcast identification (VPS-SI, VPS-PI) and a broadcast start time (SBZ) transmitted in the information signal (FS). The recording mode of the recording arrangement (1) is activated both when the broadcast identification (VPS-SI, VPS-PI) is detected in the received information signal (FS) and when a recording start time (ABZ) is reached, which recording start time is reached a lead time interval (VZ) before the broadcast start time (SBZ-PI) of the programmed information broadcast.

  • Publication number: 20020067908
Abstract: A reproducing arrangement (1) for reproducing scenes (S) of a stored film in an overview reproducing mode of the reproducing arrangement (1), has random access memory means (8) for the storage of audio/video data (AVD) of a film which is reproducible at a normal reproducing speed during a film reproduction time (TW1, TW2), and mode means (4) which enable the overview reproducing mode of the reproducing arrangement (1) to be activated, at least two scenes (S1 to S6, S7 to S12) of the stored film (FI1, FI2) being reproduced in succession at the normal or an increased reproducing speed by the reproducing arrangement (1) in the overview reproducing mode, and a skip scene (US) recorded between two scenes (S1 to S6, S7 to S12) and reproducible at the normal reproducing speed during a skip reproduction time interval (TZ1, TZ2) not being reproduced in the overview reproducing mode, and reproducing means (9) which, in the overview reproducing mode of the reproducing arrangement (1), are adapted to reproduce the stored
