  • Patent number: 9503999
Abstract: There are provided measures for enabling/realizing service continuity in a centralized service network system. Such measures exemplarily comprise detecting a deregistration request for deregistering a terminal with respect to a first switching entity from a registration in which the first switching entity is registered for the terminal as a contact point for centralized services, starting a waiting timer for waiting for a registration request for registering the terminal with respect to a second switching entity upon detection of said deregistration request, and re-registering the terminal in the registration such that the second switching entity is registered for the terminal as a contact point for centralized services upon detection of the registration request for registering the terminal with respect to the second switching entity before expiry of the waiting timer.

  • Patent number: 9277382
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus, method and a computer program product for establishing a request for a session by an application server, determining by an emergency related local service function that the session includes an emergency session, wherein the emergency related local service function is co-located at the application server, and, transmitting the request for the session to an emergency call state control function of the internet protocol multimedia subsystem based on the determination.

  • Publication number: 20150264553
Abstract: Various devices may benefit from simultaneous call session side registrations for voice over long term evolution in a visited network. A method can include receiving a request for a roaming number request at a first enhanced network node, wherein the request comprises a first identifier of a user equipment. The method can also include interrogating a first network node to determine address information of a second enhanced network node associated with the user equipment and relaying the request for the roaming number to the second enhanced network node using the address information. The method can also include receiving the request for the roaming number at the second enhanced network node and allocating a roaming number associated with the first identifier of the user equipment. The method can further include returning the roaming number to the first enhanced network node and providing the roaming number to a second network node.

  • Patent number: 8811981
Abstract: The present invention refers to a method, an apparatus and a computer program product for relaying CAMEL related messages in a telecommunication network, wherein received CAMEL related messages and corresponding subscriber data are analyzed (S3), the received CAMEL related messages are translated (S5) in non-Camel messages, the non-Camel messages are relayed (S6) to a service delivery framework on the basis of the ana-lyzing result and non-CAMEL responses are received (S8) from the service delivery framework. The non-CAMEL responses are re-translated into standard CAMEL operation responses (S9), which are sent to initiator of the received CAMEL related message (S11).

  • Publication number: 20140155112
Abstract: The application relates to Short Message Service SMS in IMS. The relevant standard is 3GPP TR 23.863. According to current standardised procedures, a UE in an originating network can submit an encapsulated SMS to an S-CSCF which forwards it to an IP-SM-GW in the originating network. The IP-SM-GW can extract the SMS and forward it to an SMS-SC. The SMS-SC can forward the SMS to an SMS-GMSC in the terminating network which delivers it to an IP-SM-GW in the terminating network. The can use the telephone uniform resource identifier associated with the IMSI of the message received for the target UE to send the short message encapsulated in the appropriate SIP method towards an S-CSCF which forwards it to the target UE. If the target UE is available via IMS forwarding via the SMS-SC is unnecessary.
