  • Publication number: 20230339593
Abstract: An aircraft fuselage is configured to receive two tanks designed to contain liquid hydrogen. The fuselage includes a first section for a cockpit, a second section for a passenger cabin and a third section (T3) distinct from the first section (T1) and from the second section (T2). The third section (T3) includes two housings each to house a tank. The two housings are arranged symmetrically with respect to a vertical plane of symmetry (P1). This arrangement of the tanks in a section distinct from the other sections allows them to be located as close as possible to the motors that they have to supply.

  • Patent number: 10612598
Abstract: Rolling bearings and housings for the same are disclosed. The rolling bearing may include an inner ring having a first raceway, an outer ring having a second raceway, having two end faces and an outer lateral surface, and comprising a plurality of rolling bodies. The outer lateral surface of the outer ring may be surrounded by a sleeve, which has at least one lug, pointing away from the outer ring and a first end face of the two end faces, for forming the axial position retention of the rolling bearing in an installed position.

  • Publication number: 20180163784
Abstract: Needle bearing units and gas control valve arrangements including the bearing units are disclosed. A needle bearing unit for mounting a valve shaft or actuator shaft may include an outer ring and a needle cage, which may be arranged in the outer ring. Needle-shaped rolling elements may be guided in the needle cage, and the outer ring may have the form of a sleeve and have a sleeve bottom at its first end. An inner ring may be arranged in the needle cage and have, at its end remote from the sleeve bottom, an inner ring flange pointing toward the outer ring. The outer ring may have, at its second end, a sleeve flange, which surrounds the inner ring flange in order to fix the inner ring in the outer ring.

  • Patent number: 9874241
Abstract: A rolling bearing including an outer ring, an inner ring and two annular, cage-guided rolling body rows, the two rolling body rows being axially pre-stressed by at least one spring element which is disposed therebetween, the two rolling body rows each being pre-stressed against a rim at the end of the outer ring, while the inner ring is axially movable against the restoring force of the spring element.

  • Patent number: 8459594
Abstract: A device for selective emergency evacuation of persons from a first level to a second level situated above the first level, or to a third level situated below the first level. For evacuation to the second level a stair arrangement is provided. One end of the device is connected to the first level while the other end is displaceable between the second level and the third level or vice versa. For evacuation to the third level, the device is changeable to a slide. The device may provide for emergency evacuation of persons from a first level deck, or passenger deck of a blended wing-body aircraft, selectively to the top, second level of the aircraft, or to the bottom third level of the aircraft.

  • Patent number: 7963481
Abstract: A method and a device for supporting the take-off rotation of an aircraft, which aircraft comprises on each side of the aircraft at least two main landing gear units, arranged one behind the other, which main landing gear units comprising wheels. For supporting the take-off rotation, in at least one rear pair of the main landing gear units the distance between the wheels of these rear main landing gear units, which wheels roll on the ground, and the fuselage, may actively be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20100303398
Abstract: A bearing unit which has a bearing shell with a projection which plastically deforms a bore of an adjacent component, on assembly, to produce a recess, thereby securing the bearing shell against being axially displaced in the direction of a bearing axis and from being twisted in the peripheral direction. The position and anti-twist locking effect is thus achieved by producing a recess in the adjacent component in which recess the projection is accommodated in a positive fit. The bearing unit is preferably used for bearing a starter shaft in a starter of a motor vehicle.
