Abstract: A grill, for example, a gas grill for grilling, cooking or baking food on a grill grate or the like, in particular for outdoor use. The gas grill has a combustion chamber, in which a burner arrangement is provided. The combustion chamber is provided with a hinged hood which covers the grill grate in the closed state. A simple and reliable conversion between direct and indirect grilling is achieved and enables a simultaneous and energy-saving direct and indirect grilling. The grill is provided with a separating plate dividing the grill grate into regions. A main surface of the separating plate extends below the grill grate.
