  • Patent number: 7099668
Abstract: Features, especially of a call diversion feature, of a communications system are automatically controlled according to the position of a mobile terminal. The mobile terminal can be treated to a certain extent as an indicator of the position of a user carrying the mobile terminal with him/her. The position of the mobile terminal is determined by a global positioning system of the mobile terminal and is compared with a stored reference position. One or more features of the communications system are then controlled according to the results of this comparison.

  • Publication number: 20040198388
Abstract: The invention provides for the automatic control of features, especially of a call diversion feature, of a communications system according to the position (POS) of a mobile terminal (ME). The mobile terminal (ME) can be treated to a certain extent as an indicator of the position of a user carrying said mobile terminal (ME) with him/her. The position (POS) of the mobile terminal (ME) is determined by means of a global positioning system (GPS) of the mobile terminal (ME) and is compared with a stored reference position (RPOS). One or more features of the communications system are then controlled according to the results of this comparison.

  • Publication number: 20010039188
Abstract: A method providing automatic control of call diversion from a first terminal (TEG), which is coupled to a switching device (V), to any desired second terminal (MEG). The call diversion process is controlled as a function of the position of a mobile terminal (MEG) relative to a base station (BS1) which is coupled to the switching device (V). A measure for the relative position of the mobile terminal (MEG) is in this case determined on the basis of radio signals which are transmitted between the base station (BS1) and the mobile terminal (MEG).

  • Patent number: 6178182
Abstract: Given a transmission of digitized voice information (spi) compressed in originating communication systems (KS (S)) via a plurality of communication systems (KS) of a communication network (KN), the compressed voice information (spi′) is matched to the switching bit rate of the transit communication systems (KS (T)) in the systems and are switched compressed. By avoiding the decompression and repeated compression of compressed voice information (spi′), delay times and distortions of the voice information (spi) are reduced.
