    Abstract: In one embodiment, an augmented reality application executing on an augmented reality device accesses a representation of the physical environment. The augmented reality application aligns information that describes near-ground features with the representation of the physical environment. After alignment, the augmented reality application generates an augmented reality view that is displayed on a display device by projecting the near-ground features onto the ground in the representation of the physical environment, generating a virtual plane above the ground that is parallel to the ground and separated therefrom by a distance, projecting the near-ground features onto the virtual plane above the ground, and showing an indicator of visual correspondence that connects at least a portion of the projection of near ground features on the ground and a corresponding portion of the projection of near-ground features on the virtual plane above the ground.

    Abstract: In one embodiment, at an initial time, a capture system records a 3D video stream and an audio stream of a first user interacting with the physical environment. A processing device receives the 3D video stream and the audio stream, isolates the first user from the physical environment, and stores at least a portion of the isolated representation and a portion of the audio stream. At a subsequent time, a second user uses a camera of an augmented reality device to capture a scene. The augmented reality device loads the portion of the isolated representation of the first user and the portion of the audio stream, aligns the 3D video stream with the captured scene, and calculates a pose of the augmented reality device. The augmented reality device then produces an augmented scene, which is displayed to the second user while the portion of the audio stream is played back.

    Abstract: In an example embodiment, a technique is provided for model review using augmented reality. An augmented reality device obtains tiles from a remote computing device for an overview resolution, and augments the model at the overview resolution and an overview view size into a physical environment at a data location. The augmented reality device displays the model augmented into the physical environment to a user disposed at a view location. In response to input requesting a change to the new resolution, the augmented reality device obtains additional tiles from the remote computing device for the new resolution, augments the model at the new resolution and a new view size into the physical environment, and displays the model augmented into the physical environment to the user disposed at the view location. In response to input that requests navigation of the model, the augmented reality device changes at least one of the data location or the view location.

The flexible sheet is curlable into a revolution surface configuration to form a revolution surface-shaped support section for at least partially supporting a portion of the helix component there around. A grounding mechanism electrically grounds the external sheet surface to the helix and the two sheet surfaces to one another when in the revolution surface configuration while a locking mechanism locks the flexible sheet in the revolution surface configuration. The combination of the helix and the flexible support renders the antenna structurally relatively rigid in all directions.

    Abstract: An adjustable RF microwave tuning post for use in an RF cavity is disclosed. It is comprised of a flexible integrally-formed hollow tuning post disposed in the RF cavity. A drive shaft extending internally of the tuning post is provided to vary the dimensions of the tuning post. The drive shaft is connected to the tuning post at the top end thereof and connected at the other end of the drive shaft to an adjusting nut. The tuning post is made flexible by the use of bellows, which in a preferred embodiment of the invention is located along the side walls thereof.
