  • Patent number: 6124828
Abstract: This array antenna with anti-jamming in reception for radioelectrical or ultrasound waves is provided with radiating elements fitted out individually or in groups with amplitude-controlled and phase-controlled passive or active modules enabling aiming at transmission as well as at reception by analog beam-forming. It possesses a reception anti-jamming circuit carrying out successively two reduced, adaptive computational beam-forming operations, one in elevation which is performed on a grouping, in horizontal alignments, of the reception signals of the radiating elements and working on the reception signals by modifying the settings of the controlled modules and the other in relative bearing, performed on a grouping, in vertical alignments, of the signals of the radiating elements that which it phase-shifts and adds up to form a reception channel for the total antenna.

  • Patent number: 5827329
Abstract: A method and apparatus are described for cleaning fabrics and clothes in a liquid medium wherein a vacuum drying step is effected at a pressure ranging from 1.5.times.10.sup.3 Pa to 15.times.10.sup.3 Pa in the presence of steam which is injected into the drying process at a pressure between 0.8.times.10.sup.4 to 8.times.10.sup.4 Pa and which is used as a carrier for removing the cleaning liquid.

  • Patent number: 5675343
Abstract: This radiating-element array antenna has its radiating elements grouped together, in reception, in two sets of parallel linear sub-arrays imbricated and oriented in the two directions, namely the horizontal and vertical directions. It comprises two beam-shaping circuits each receiving the signals from one of the sets of linear sub-arrays and carrying out two reduced beam-shaping operations, one in the elevation plane and other in the relative bearing plane, and one output circuit delivering a reception signal from a non-linear combination, a product or convolution, of the two reduced beam-shaping signals generated by the beam-shaping circuits. This reception signal simulates the signal of an antenna with total beam-shaping in the two planes, namely the elevation and relative bearing planes.

  • Patent number: 5084708
Abstract: This antenna system has a plurality of elementary antennas configured into an array, wherein there is a reception (or transmission) channel associated with each antenna or sub-array of antennas, said reception channel having, in series:an active reception module, delay means capable of selectively introducing a pure delay of propagation of the signal picked up by the elementary antenna so as to produce a gradation of delays for the different respective elementary antennas, said gradation of delays enabling the definition of a desired pointing in the direction of the wave to be received with respect to the orientation proper to the array;and an analog/digital converter receiving, at input, the analog signal received, to deliver, at output, a corresponding digitized signal to a beam forming computer.

  • Patent number: 5068632
Abstract: A semi-rigid cable for the transmission of microwaves, such as those used for radar or for digital television. This cable has a symmetrical strip line with a dielectric having an almost rectangular section, with a width close to the thickness of the dielectric and external conductive strips with a width that is substantially greater than that of the central conductor. This symmetrical strip line is advantageously surrounded by an absorbent sheath. The entire unit is protected by an ordinary metallic shielding and by a standard external mechanical protective sheath.

  • Patent number: 4493535
Abstract: There is disclosed an optical system consisting in a floating assembly of a glass plate and of a focalizing part or lens out of plastic material, for instance a styrene-acrylonitril-copolymer, said focalizing part being stressless joined to said glass plate by an intermediary layer out of transparent material having a controlled viscosity, for instance silicone, the assembly being held joined by its peryphery by a frame structure with interposition of a resilient seal. A low concentration of anti-U.V. material is dispersed within the intermediary layer. Utilization more particularly for concentration solar energy in solar collecting systems.

  • Patent number: 4109331
Abstract: A bed comprising a frame, a mattress supported on the frame, and at the head of the bed a closure or chamber composed of two shell portions, to wit, a fixed lower portion fixed to the frame and a movable portion movable between an open position where it is retracted on the fixed portion and provides free access to the head of the bed and a closed position in which it leaves only a small opening towards the foot of the bed. Each shell portion of the chamber is constituted by a rigid frame covered with a sound insulating material and a sound absorbing material. The movable portion is itself constituted by two parts articulated to one another and to the fixed portion around a common horizontal transverse axis. One part of the movable portion is transparent and capable of being retracted into the other part which is opaque.
