Abstract: The invention relates to an assembly for providing at least one electric connection between the elements of a pipe each including an electric line, which assembly includes for each pipe element:a conductor placed inside the element,a first connector and second connectors fixed to each of the ends of the conductor and cooperating electrically with said conductor,a first double connector cooperating electrically by a first end with the first connector,a second double connector cooperating electrically by a first end with the second connector, said first and second double connectors cooperating electrically with respectively the second and first double connectors of the adjacent pipe elements, andmeans for positioning and fixing the connectors.

Abstract: An electric connection between conductors of two pipe elements to be joined through male-female junction, with the conductors being housed in internal sheaths of the pipe elements, is effected by an assembly of three connectors, one connected to the male side of each element, another connected to the female side thereof and a double connector adapted to electrically connect the male side connector of a pipe element with the female side connector of an adjacent joined pipe element.

Abstract: A plug-in connector for use under water comprises a socket having a bore adapted to receive a complementary plug and a chamber formed in the socket structure between a rigid tube co-axial with the socket and a surrounding elastic sleeve. The tube is perforated with regularly spaced holes, and the chamber is filled with an insulating grease with the interior of the tube being in permanent communication with the bore of the socket.

Abstract: A connector comprises at least one plug for mating with a bore of a corresponding socket. A main chamber contains protecting fluid communicating with the bore, the volume of this chamber automatically varying to fill the bore with protecting fluid when the plug is withdrawn from the bore. The connector further comprises a compensation chamber filled with a protecting product, such as grease, under a pressure higher than the pressure prevailing in the main chamber. Upon withdrawal of the plug from the socket, a predetermined amount of protecting product is transferred from this compensation chamber to the assembly formed by the main chamber and the bore of the socket.

Abstract: The invention provides a process for securing a rigid coupling member to one end of a flexible pipe which comprises an armouring formed by a metal strip wound with a short pitch around a tubular core.According to this process this armouring is cut out along a cross-section of the metal strip which is then inserted into a corresponding recess of the coupling member, in which a solidifiable material is subsequently injected.

Abstract: This coupling houses nail-shaped anchoring means having preferably a jagged profile, which are inserted between adjacent reinforcing elements of the pipe armouring.A solidifiable material binds these nail-shaped anchoring means and the reinforcing elements of the pipe armouring firmly together.
