Channels provide a sound barrier and insulation. Attachment of the blocks can be made by means of angular steel pins fixing blocks two by two, by means of adhesive fiber glass wrapping the blocks, by means of adhesive construction glue, or by means of crossed tie resisting to shear forces. Central channels in the blocks are dug to pass a metal rod to strengthen the whole assembly of blocks; a central passage pierced in a top face of a central block wherein a metal rod is inserted and continues through an end groove of an upper and a lower block. Or, channels are dug all along the periphery of the block, and horizontal and a vertical rods are affixed against the channel.

Abstract: An assembly of interconnected blocks such, as lightweight concrete, rock, or wood blocks, in combination with crossed ties means used for attaching blocks two by two while keeping them in a stable spaced apart position. The crossed ties comprise a rectangular shape wherein opposite corners are joined by straight links which resist shear forces due to wind, storm, tornadoes, landslides or earthquake. They comprise furthermore pegs which attach the blocks two by two when pressing pegs into notches dug on upper or lower surfaces of the blocks or on their sides. The blocks are then made with, notches on upper or lower surfaces of the blocks, and on their sides, which correspond to positions of pressing pegs, to interconnect blocks together. Such pegs are provided to mesh with critical positions in the blocks for stable junctions.

Abstract: A hand held scellant applicator has a graspable housing and a drive mechanism housed therein. An endless vise is provided with a torque arm slidingly mounted to the housing. A large gear concentrically installed around the vise is held in place by a roller bearing rotating central part, surrounded by balls turning within an outside part mounted on the housing. The vise has inclined planes, and the central part of the bearing has mating planes which ride on the inclined planes of the vise, the rotation of the large gear causing the advance of the vise and the torque arm preventing the rotation of the vise. At pivoting coupling housing disengages the large gear to permit removal of the vise after pushing the scellant out.
