  • Patent number: 12377678
Abstract: A wheel disc includes a hub located centrally within the wheel disc and defining a wheel axis. The wheel disc further includes an outer circumferential edge and a transition portion radially extending between the hub and the outer circumferential edge. The transition portion has a front surface and a rear surface such that the front surface has a relatively smooth profile and the rear surface has a plurality of concentric ring-shaped curvatures formed therein, thereby providing the transition portion with a variable thickness between the front and rear surfaces.

  • Publication number: 20250162014
Abstract: A wheel disc for vehicle wheels manufactured by flow forming, in particular for passenger cars, which has a stretched disc transition surface subsequently provided with ventilation holes and a radial outer disc edge. All ventilation holes are located in the transition surface and are attached by punching or cutting. In order to improve the competitiveness of vehicle wheels made of steel or other materials suitable in particular for cold forming compared to cast vehicle wheels made of aluminium, the transition surface is provided with several changes in material thickness generated during flow forming by displacement of the tool and, viewed in the radial direction, effecting a wave structure on the surface facing the tool during flow forming. The surface provided with the wave structure can in particular form the non-visible inner side of a vehicle wheel, but can also form the visible side. In addition, the opposite surface can also be provided with a wave structure.

  • Publication number: 20240420298
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method of monitoring images, particularly images from cameras on offshore platforms, where only low-frequency events trigger alarms and high-frequency events are ignored. Preferably, it implements the Multi-scale Structural Quality Score where the compared image frames are spaced in time, for example, by a space of 1 minute, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 60 minutes. If a quality score lower than a threshold quality score is obtained, or if the quality score obtained remains within a predetermined range for a time greater than a predetermined time limit, an alarm may be triggered. Accordingly, only events that represent a significant risk to operational and personnel safety and that persist for a certain period will trigger alarms. Consequently, spurious alarms that would be caused by low relevance events are avoided.

  • Publication number: 20240399788
Abstract: A wheel disc for a wheel with a radially extending hub connection flange and a disc rim connected to a wheel rim and a transition region extending between the disc rim and the connection flange. The transition region is provided with ventilation holes. The holes extend in the radial direction from a first inner pitch circle located closer to the connection flange to a second outer pitch circle located closer to the rim. The transition region in the radial section in a first sectional area extending between the connection flange and the radially inner first pitch circle has a material thickness reduced by at least 30% compared to a material thickness of the connection flange and/or wherein the holes have a hole region with a hole width increasing in the circumferential direction of the disc from the radially inner, first pitch circle towards the radially outer, second pitch circle.

  • Patent number: 10244358
Abstract: Mostly, motion signals are inaccurate, especially if the mobile device is not a proprietary device, and one has to reckon that the bearer wears the mobile device somewhere else than where it is supposed to be worn in order to coincide with the laboratory conditions. However, the information conveyed by the motion signals is sufficient in order to discriminate and detect between different typical wearing/carrying conditions, and accordingly position tracking based on such motion signals may be rendered far more efficiently by, first of all, using the motion signals gained from the one or more motion sensors so as to attribute them to one of a plurality of analysis parameter sets so as to obtain a selected analysis parameter set and, second, analyzing the motion signals using the selected analysis parameter set so as to obtain a signal indicating a locomotion of the bearer.
