  • Patent number: 9857223
Abstract: An interferometer system comprising an optical detector including a substrate and a two-dimensional array of pixels disposed on the substrate is provided. The interferometer system may further comprise an interferometer disposed proximate the optical detector without an optical element between the interferometer and the optical detector. The interferometer may include a first plate positioned proximate the substrate and extending over the two-dimensional array of pixels, a second plate spaced apart from the first plate, the first and second plates defining an optical gap between them, and at least one actuatable spacer positioned between the first plate and the second plate and configured to space apart the first and second plates from one another and to selectively alter a thickness of the optical gap.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 20, 2015
Date of Patent: January 2, 2018
    Assignee: RAYTHEON COMPANY
Inventors: Randall W. Zywicki, David C. Mann, Andre D. Cropper

  • Patent number: 7118782
Abstract: A method of manufacturing diamond coatings, at low temperature and low pressure on a substrate utilizing chemical vapor transport (CVT) comprising the steps of: providing a wire-wrapped graphite assembly component and the substrate into a chamber; filling the chamber with hydrogen; reducing ambient pressure in the chamber to a vacuum and backfilling with hydrogen; sealing the chamber containing hydrogen at a pressure less than 1 atmosphere; and passing electric current through the graphite rod until the substrate is heated within a range of 125° C.–750° C. to produce high-quality diamond at temperatures with exceptional properties.

  • Patent number: 6623608
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a display device having two components, an OLED display formed on a film on one side of a substrate and a touch screen formed on a film on the other side of the substrate, the OLED display including components that are sensitive to high temperatures, includes the steps of: partially forming one of the components on one side of the substrate, applying a protector over the partially constructed component; forming the other component of the display device on the other side of the substrate; removing the protector; and completing the formation of the one component on the one side of the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20030150107
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a display device having an OLED display and a touch screen, the OLED display including components that are sensitive to high temperatures, and the touch screen including a resistive film, includes the steps of: providing a transparent substrate having two sides; forming a flat-panel organic light emitting diode display on one side of the substrate; forming a resistive film using a low temperature technique on the other side of the substrate; and forming a resistive touch screen on the resistive film.
