Abstract: The present invention refers to a sealing system for a security seal or the like, comprising two parts (2, 3), the first part (2) defining a cavity (5) provided with first and second inlet openings (6, 7) adjacent each other, and having an internal tooth (8). The region between the two inlet openings (6, 7) comprises a base for the tooth (8). The second part (3) bears a locking pin (10) provided with a locking formation (11), which, upon being inserted into the cavity (5) through the first inlet opening (6), cooperates in locking relationship with the tooth (8). According to the invention, the first part (2) has a second internal tooth (9) on the opposite side of the first inlet opening (6) with respect to the first tooth (8), while the locking pin (10) on the second part (3) has second locking formation (12) that cooperates in locking relationship with the second tooth (9).

Abstract: The invention refers to a security seal, especially of the type used in the transport of valuables or chemical/petroleum products, in drums, trucks, tankers, railway cars and the like, as well as in electrical equipment and doorways. The seal comprises a seal body (1) and a steel cord (2) fixed at one end to the body. In use, the free end is passed through the lements to be sealed and then introduced through a passage (7) through the body (1). The seal body (1) also has locking means associated with the passage (7) to prevent withdrawal of the steel cord (2). The body (1) may be personalized by the manufacturer to as to make the seal unique and thus with a high degree of security.

Abstract: A container having a security closure is described, of the type comprising a hollow body (9) with a mouth or neck (10) defining an opening to the interior of the body, the mouth having an outer screw thread and also a first series of ratchet elements (2). A closure (3) adaptable to the mouth of the container so as to close the opening in the body has a closed end and an outer skirt, the outer skirt (18) being formed with an inner screw thread that co-operates with the outer screw thread on the mouth. The closure is also formed with a second series of ratchet elements (21) so that, on screwing the closure onto the mouth, the co-operation between the ratchet elements (12, 21) of the first and second series permits closure of the container, but prevents unscrewing if the closure.

Abstract: A security seal having a locking body and a thread having a first end attached to the body and a second free end, the body having an entry opening for insertion of the second end of the thread and further, inside it a locking device that permits passage of the second end of the thread in the insertion direction and prevents withdrawal of the thread in the opposite direction. The locking device is in the form of wedges (14) to open and close the passage for the thread (2). The wedges (6) are linked to the rest of the body by spring connection portions (20) and molded together with the body in order to facilitate its manufacture.

Abstract: A tie-type security seal is described that comprises a body (2) of thermoplastic material with a passage (7) therethrough, a metallic insert element (11) that is fixed in the passage and has at least one opening (15) aligned therewith, as well as a locking tooth (14). An elongated strip of thermoplastic material (4) is integral, at one end, with the body (2) and has another free end for insertion through the passage (7) in a first direction where it is locked by the tooth (14) against removal from the cavity in the opposite direction, the body and strip having been manufactured by a plastic injection operation. In accordance with the invention, the seal is not only highly secure against tampering, but can also easily be mass manufactured since the metallic insert element (11) is incorporated into the body of thermoplastic material (2) during the injection operation.

Abstract: A one-piece pull-tight or strap-type security seal adapted for closing bags or the like that is designer to be easily applied in comparison with existing ones. One seal of this type has a lever operation in which a clousure strap (4) is integral with a central or operating portion (2) that is, in turn, integral with a lever member (6) to which the strap may be fixed during application around the neck of a bag to be closed. The lever member is then pivoted outwardly and backwardly over the opening portion, tightening the loop so formed by means of a lever action, and then locked by security locking formations (16, 19) to effect sealing. The closure strap is for all effects flat, its formations for fixing it to the lever member (6) including a series of orifices (7) distributed along its length, whereas the immobilizing formation for the closure strap includes a first protuberance (15) adapted, on formation of the loop (25), to be received in one of the orifices (7).
