    Abstract: A framework for furniture is formed by an assembly of basic modular units or segments made each of a pair of arcuate tubes or rods disposed in a single plane and interconnected by radial tubes or rods. Feet extending perpendicular to the plane of the unit or segment can be connected to the corresponding feet of a second modular unit or segment disposed such as to form a mirror image of the first unit or segment.
