  • Publication number: 20240118373
Abstract: The present disclosure is enclosed in the area of validation of vehicles in road tolls, which may also be designated as tolling systems. The prior art systems require the installation of a device —a camera and/or a wireless communication device—for each lane of a toll, in order to determine that a vehicle has crossed such lane of the toll. The present solution allows that, only with two fixed wireless devices which issue wireless beacons to be received by a mobile device, the lane which the vehicle crosses is still determinable. This also enables that each of the fixed wireless devices may be placed in locations of the toll which are accessible without closing the lane, and thereby does not require that the circulation of vehicles has to closed, whichever is the lane. The present solution thereby promotes retrofit in existing tolls with multiple lanes.

  • Patent number: 11878103
Abstract: Various exemplary methods, systems, and devices for joint to pump elevation level user interfaces, autocalibration for joint elevation, and joint pressure estimation are provided. In general, an arthroscopic pump can be configured to estimate fluid pressure at a surgical site, e.g., at a joint, to provide an accurate indication of fluid pressure to users. In an exemplary embodiment, the fluid pressure estimation is based on a fluid pressure measurement at the pump that is adjusted at the pump, e.g., by a processor at the pump that executes instructions stored in a memory at the pump, using one or more control algorithms that adjust for one or more factors, such as pressure loss in tubing and sheath through which fluid flows between the pump and the surgical site and elevation difference between the pump and the surgical site.

  • Publication number: 20230083181
Abstract: A suture anchor comprises a tubular body having an axial bore therethrough and having one or more purchase enhancements on an exterior surface of the body adapted to enhance purchase of the body within a bone hole, such as threads. A lateral port passes through the body from the bore to the exterior surface and is formed of a slot entering the body from its proximal end. A length of suture for attaching soft tissue to bone passes down along the exterior surface over the one or more purchase enhancements, over a distal end of the body, up into the bore through and then back out of the bore and up along the exterior surface over the one or more purchase enhancements.

  • Publication number: 20220160220
Abstract: In general, arthroscopic medical implements and assemblies and methods of operating arthroscopic medical implements and assemblies are provided. Devices, systems, and methods are described herein in connection with accessing a surgical site using an arthroscopic medical implement. In an exemplary implementation, an optical sensor of the arthroscopic medical implement can gather and output image data, and an inertial sensor of the arthroscopic medical implement can gather and output orientation data. The orientation data can be used to modify the gathered optical image to maintain a display of the gathered optical image in a predetermined desired orientation before, during, and after any rotation of the arthroscopic medical implement. The arthroscopic medical implement can also include at least one sensor configured to gather and output pressure and/or temperature.

  • Patent number: 11290319
Abstract: A method and system of failure detection in a computer network, including pre-programming a number of processors of a multi-processor networked system coupled with remote systems via a network, each of the processors configured to run a BFD module. One processor may be assigned to be an active BFD server to establish sessions between the multi-processor networked system and the remote systems to detect link faults between the multi-processor networked system and the remote systems. Other processors may be assigned as dormant BFD clients. If a link or a processor running the active BFD server fails, one of the dormant BFD clients is selected to become an active BFD server. The BFD server may be dynamically replaced with a dormant client based on predetermined criteria without failure of the BFD server.

  • Patent number: 10959157
Abstract: A method for detecting communication loop in an ad hoc network is provided. The method may comprise: receiving, at a node of the ad hoc network, a message comprising a commutative value, wherein the node is associated with a node identifier and the commutative value pertains to node identifiers associated with one or more nodes along a path the message has been traversed along regardless of the order of the nodes; and determining, with aid of one or more processors, presence of a loop based on whether the commutative value is identical to a previously obtained commutative value.

  • Publication number: 20200389359
Abstract: A network infrastructure device supporting communications on one or more network segments is provided, The network infrastructure device may perform an auto-mode detection for an appropriate unidirectional link detection (UDLD) protocol to be used between network neighbors of the network infrastructure device. The auto-mode detection may include a detection phase to detect a UDLD mode available within a network segment (e.g., supported by a pair of neighboring devices). A first UDLD mode from a set of supported UDLD modes for the network infrastructure device may be sent to neighboring devices; responses may be analyzed; and based on responses (or lack thereof) a mode may be selected, or other supported modes may be attempted, After negotiation, via the detection phase, and operational phase may be entered. A resultant network may have a network infrastructure device that concurrently supports different UDLD modes for different neighboring devices where each was automatically negotiated.
