  • Patent number: 4143088
Abstract: An organosilicon composition is disclosed which is storage-stable in the absence of moisture and is rapidly curable into elastomers with self-adherent properties in the presence of water at room temperature. Such compositions are prepared by mixing:(a) at least one .alpha.,.omega.-di(hydroxy) diorganopolysiloxane polymer,(b) at least one organosilicon resin,(c) at least one alkoxylated organosilicon compound, and(d) at least one organic titanium derivative.

  • Patent number: 4064096
Abstract: Curable, storage-stable liquid organopolysiloxane compositions are formulated by [A] admixing (a) a diorganopolysiloxane oil having a viscosity ranging from between 400 and 3,000 cps at 25.degree. C., said diorganopolysiloxane being terminated at its chain ends with a moiety selected from the group consisting of (CH.sub.3).sub.3 SiO.sub.0.5, (CH.sub.3).sub.2 CH.sub.2 =CHSiO.sub.0.5 and (CH.sub.3).sub.2 C.sub.6 H.sub.5 SiO.sub.0.5, and the organo radicals comprising the said diorganopolysiloxane being selected from the group consisting of methyl, vinyl and phenyl, with (b) silica having a specific surface area in excess of 80 m.sup.2 /g, (c) water, and (d) a Si-N bonded silylating agent; [B] next devolatilizing the mixtures [A]; and thence [C] admixing with the devolatilized product [B], (e) an .alpha.,.omega.-dihydroxypolysiloxane oil having a viscosity ranging from between 2,000 and 60,000 cps at 25.degree. C. and (f) an inorganic filler.
