  • Publication number: 20020093170
Abstract: An antivibration sleeve comprising an inner strength member which extends longitudinally along a central axis, a rigid annular strength member surrounding the inner strength member, and an elastomer body which interconnects the two strength members. The strength members have respective wedge-shaped bearing zones placed in register with each other to compress the elastomer body when the antivibration sleeve is supporting a static axial load. The bearing zones of the annular strength member enabling passages to be formed between two hydraulic chambers defined by the elastomer body.

  • Patent number: 5855364
Abstract: A hydraulic antivibration support comprises an annular elastomer body surrounding a central axis and interconnecting a first support member and a support plate both of which are likewise annular. The elastomer body has two concentric annular cavities closed by the support plate, and constituting a working chamber and a compensation chamber which is radially defined on the outside by a thin side wall of the elastomer body, said two chambers being filled with liquid and being interconnected by a constricted passage which is defined in part by a channel-section piece located in one of the two chambers.

  • Patent number: 5566580
Abstract: A motion transmitting rod (16), particularly for a gear box, has as a portion of its length an elastic filtering sleeve (11) engaged by its ends into two tubular extremities (17) of two rod parts of the rod (16) which rod parts are then connected to each other. The sleeve can be a rectangular cross-section bar (12) coated with an elastic coating (13). In addition, the bar (12) has at the union between the tubular extremities (17) of the rod at least one widening portion (18) which is also coated with the coating (13) and which is engaged into two notches (19) with shapes complementary of that of the widening portion (18) and provided at the end in the extremities (17).

  • Patent number: 5556071
Abstract: The invention relates to a hydraulic vibration-damping mount including a first rigid reinforcing member (1) and a second rigid reinforcing member (2), an elastomeric body (3) which includes, on the one hand, a thick wall (4) joining the two rigid reinforcing members to one another and partially delimiting a working chamber (A), and, on the other hand, a thin wall (5) which partially delimits a compensation chamber (B) connected to the working chamber by a narrow duct (C), the two chambers and the narrow duct being filled with a liquid, the second reinforcing member being a plate one face of which is secured in leaktight fashion to the elastomeric body in order to delimit, together with the latter, the two chambers and the narrow duct, the thin wall substantially exhibiting the shape of a bell only the edge (5.sub.1) of which is secured to the second reinforcing member.

  • Patent number: 5170997
Abstract: A resilient pressurized fluid articulation is disclosed which has variable stiffness, i.e. whose stiffness may be modified at will under the influence of an external agent. The articulation includes a resilient material block (5, 5a; 15, 15a) mounted between rigid bearing surfaces of a structure (7, 7a, 7b, 7c) which contains it. At least two of these surfaces of the block are movable with respect to each other in at least one direction, under the action of external forces acting in this direction. The resilient material block (5, 5a; 15, 15a) defines in the structure at least one chamber (3) adapted to be fed with pressurized fluid through a duct (2) opening to the outside. The block (3) also comprises at least one part (18, 18a) which is deformable under the effect of the pressure, deformation of the part then modifying the stiffness of the block in the direction.

  • Patent number: 4975573
Abstract: An optical test bench for testing the technical characteristics of electromagnetic wave sensors and emitters of an air and ground surveillance electro-optical module mounted on a missile firing vehicle, the module capable of acquiring, ranging and tracking a target and of guiding a missile toward the target. This test device is specifically designed for factory and environmental testing, by opposition to laboratory controlled environment testing. The optical test bench of the invention includes: two parabolic off-axis collimating mirrors, for focusing the fields of view of the module to a common focal point; a computer-controlled focal plane system, including four test assemblies selectively shiftable to register with said focal point, and a laser alignment periscope system to exactly adjust each parabolic mirror relative to the other so that their focal points coincide.

  • Patent number: 4703361
Abstract: A picture multiplex analysis hybrid device comprising a device for forming the picture of an object in a given plane, a plurality of photodetectors forming a mosaic thereof, and a plurality of optical devices sending the light from a sector of the picture in its plane to a respective photodetector. The number of optical devices is equal to that of the photodetectors, wherein the light beams received in the elementary areas forming a picture sector are modulated by a moving encoding grid comprising opaque portions corresponding to a binary 0 and transparent portions corresponding to a binary 1, the grid modulating each beam by a binary, periodic and pseudo-random function, the beams emanating from the elementary areas being modulated by identical parts of the grid.
