  • Patent number: 4973078
Abstract: A device for correcting the trim attitude of an automotive vehicle, comprising a pair of links associated with either one of the front and rear sets of wheels of the automotive vehicle, each link being mounted in pivotally bearing relationship on the body and comprising a first end secured to a swinging arm and a second bent lever-like end adapted to act through rods upon a hydraulic valve for controlling a power jack acting between the suspension element of a wheel and one of the ends of an anti-tilt bar arranged transversely of the vehicle and the other end of which is rigidly connected to the suspension element of the other wheel.

  • Patent number: 4412460
Abstract: A two-speed drive coupling for connecting an engine of a motor vehicle with an accessory such as an alternator. The coupling comprises a driving member and a driven member with a sun gear being mounted on the driven member. A planet gear wheel holder is carried on the driving member and carries planet gear wheels which mesh with the sun gear and with a crown gear locked against rotation and surrounding the sun gear. A unidirectional coupling is provided between the driving member and the driven member and a centrifugal clutch between the driving member and the holder. At low speeds of the driving member, the clutch is engaged and the driven member is rotated at a greater speed than the driving member through the planet gear wheels and the sun gear. At higher speeds of the driving member, the clutch disengages and the driven member is rotated directly by the driving member through the unidirectional coupling.

  • Patent number: 4319672
Abstract: The device includes an operating member adapted to drive the driven member positively and a frictional rotary assistance mechanism. It includes a transmission device for the motion between the operating member and the driven member comprising two plates, means for the resilient return of the plates towards one another, balls interposed between the plates and cooperating with inclined surfaces provided on these plates. The plates separate from one another during relative rotation and frictional coupling means are provided between an output of the assistance mechanism and at least one plate. The device is used for driven rotary members forming part of a machine tool or of an automobile.

  • Patent number: 4271920
Abstract: A mounting arrangement for a transversely mounted engine-drive unit in which the engine-drive unit is connected to a vehicle sub-frame by structure preventing longitudinal movement between the unit and the sub-frame while permitting limited vertical movement therebetween with the engine-drive unit carrying the driven axle while the non-driven axle is mounted on the sub-frame and a self-supporting body is resiliently connected to the sub-frame and to the engine-drive unit. The connecting structure also permits slight pivoting movements around a transverse axis.
