  • Publication number: 20240067282
Abstract: A track system includes an attachment assembly including at least one of a first pivot defining a roll pivot axis, a second pivot defining a pitch pivot axis, and a third pivot defining a yaw pivot axis of the track system. A frame assembly is disposed laterally outwardly from the attachment assembly and connected to the attachment assembly. The track system further includes at least one actuator for pivoting the frame assembly about at least one of the roll and yaw pivot axes, and at least one monitoring for determining, at least indirectly, at least one of a state of the track system and a ground surface condition. The at least one monitoring sensor is communicating with a track system controller to control the operation of the at least one actuator based on the at least one of the state of the track system and the ground surface condition.

  • Patent number: 4871149
Abstract: A lockable pneumatic spring comprising a piston which slides in a cylinder filled with pressurized gas and which divides the cylinder into two different chambers which mutually communicate with each other through the intermediary of a slide valve. The slide valve includes a cylindrical first part which sealingly contacts a first annular seal element to form a lock seal between the chambers and a depressible cylindrical second part of constant diameter projecting outside the cylinder. The diameter of the first part is larger than the diameter of the second part and the two parts are connected by an intermediate part which tapers from the end of the first part to the end of the second part.

  • Patent number: 4736824
Abstract: A spring-damping device operating with a pressurized gas in which sudden movements caused by a severe drop in pressure are avoided or limited. A variable volume chamber, which is usually in a state where it permits relative movement of a rod in relation to an enclosure, distorts during a rapid depressurization in the enclosure, until it opposes these movements, due to a valve which maintains its internal pressure near to the initial level.

  • Patent number: 4717129
Abstract: A tube having a welded bottom impermeable to gases under pressure, the tube including (a) a tube body having an end with an inner peripheral edge folded-over toward the interior of the tube body for forming an opening of reduced diameter; and (b) an end piece for forming the welded bottom of the tube, the end piece including a metal disk with an outer diameter substantially smaller than the inner diameter of the tube body and substantially greater than the reduced diameter of the opening of the inner peripheral folded-over edge of the tube end, the disk having at the center thereof a cylindrical outwardly directed projection, the projection having a diameter slightly smaller than the reduced diameter of the opening of the peripheral folded-over edge of the tube end, wherein the end piece is located inside the tube body and joined to the folded-over edge by a welded zone having a metallographical structure of melted or softened metal, the welding zone having an exposed surface in the bottom of a narrow groove

  • Patent number: 4499707
Abstract: A method and apparatus for baling a tow of textile filaments, in which when a container has been filled, the tow is cut automatically in such a way that the end of the cut tow connected to the tow in the container falls on the side of the container, the other end of the cut tow forming the beginning of the tow for the new container, being constantly gripped during the filling of the new container, at a location which is beyond the maximum oscillating portion of the tow laying guide. The gripped end is released after the new container has been completely filled.

  • Patent number: 3979634
Abstract: In order to reduce to a minimum the internal diameter of the focusing coils 30 of travelling-wave tubes, the electrodes of the electron gun 10 thereof terminate in cylindrical portions 26, 31 whose external surfaces are in contact, via rings 27 and 28, with metal washers 18, 19 separating insulating cylinders 14, 15, 16 stacked one on top of the other and forming a socket for the casing of the tube containing gun 10. The contact is such that the radial dimensions are minimal and high insulation can be provided between the components. Application to high-power, high-voltage travelling-wave tubes.
