Embodiments of the system can include, but are not limited to, a server, a smart device, and one or more weather databases. Typically, the server can obtain forecasted temperature data from the one or more weather databases and analyze the forecasted temperature data. When the server determines that a current temperature approximate a given location is about a desired temperature defined by a user, the server can send a notification to the user device. The notification can alert the user to turn off their cooling equipment.
