  • Patent number: 10323578
Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a diverting system to be used in a combined-cycle power plant. According to the invention, the diverting system is integrated within the by-pass stack and carries out, in a sole component, the functions of by-passing the hot exhaust flow in a single-cycle configuration or guiding it through the HRSG, acting as a diffusor, in an open combined-cycle configuration.

  • Patent number: 10180085
Abstract: A combined cycle power plant is described, comprising a steam turbine, a first heat recovery steam generator and a second heat recovery steam generator. The first heat recovery steam generator is attached to the steam turbine by a first steam pipe system and the second heat recovery steam generator is attached to the steam turbine by a second steam pipe system, to allow steam to pass from the first and second heat recovery steam generators to the steam turbine. The steam turbine is arranged in between the first heat recovery steam generator and the second heat recovery steam generator.

  • Patent number: 4676722
Abstract: The invention relates to a high peripheral speed centrifugal compressor of the kind comprising curved hollow sector shaped scoops juxtaposed circumferentially about an axis to form a disc, and a drive shaft for rotating said disc about said axis.According to the invention, the scoops are made from material loaded with high mechanical strength fibers and are connected together circumferentially and radially by filaments wound and stretched in radial clearances between the scoops, the filaments being of material generally similar to the fibers of the scoops and being coated with a bonding agent compatible with the material of the scoops and the filaments, the bonding agent being cured so as to bond the scoops and filaments solidly together in the form of a stable unitary member. The resulting wheel has light weight and high mechanical breakage strength, enabling high peripheral speed.
