Abstract: There is provided mechanisms for communication between radio transceiver devices via meta-surface. A method is performed by a first radio transceiver device. The first radio transceiver device is communicating with a second radio transceiver device via at least one meta-surface over a radio propagation channel. The method comprises performing random access procedures with the second radio transceiver device. Each random access procedure corresponds to a respective activation setting of the at least one meta-surface. The method comprises selecting one of the activation settings for the at least one meta-surface. The method comprises transmitting an indication of the selected activation setting to the second radio transceiver device and a controller of the at least one meta-surface. The method comprises communicating with the second radio transceiver device over the radio propagation channel and via the at least one meta-surface.

  • Publication number: 20250238950
Abstract: Examples describe using a two dimensional floor plan, rather than a three dimensional (3D) reconstruction of a scene, to localize a camera. A floorplan of an environment is accessed and an image of the environment captured by a camera in the environment is received. The image is input to a trained neural network to predict an array of rays from the camera to surfaces in the environment indicated in the floorplan. Using the array of rays it is then possible to compute 3D position and orientation of the camera with respect to the floorplan.

  • Publication number: 20250235216
Abstract: A medical tool system includes a tool holder formed in a distal instrument portion adjoined by a proximal instrument portion. The proximal instrument portion is bendable relative to the distal instrument portion. A tool can be accommodated in the tool holder and pivoted relative to the tool holder. A first coupling device is arranged in the distal instrument portion. A second coupling device is arranged on the tool. In a coupling state, the second coupling device realizes a coupling between the tool and the distal shaft portion by operative engagement with the first coupling device to fix the tool in the distal shaft portion in the axial direction.

  • Publication number: 20250238246
Abstract: Implementations relate to determining a rendering type for an application that is executing automatically. Based on user interactions with an application that is associated with specified input from the user while the user is interacting with the application, a confidence metric is generated for each specified input and a rendering type is determined based on the confidence metrics. Subsequently, when the user requests that a sequence of actions be performed, the application will be displayed according to the rendering type.

  • Publication number: 20250239021
Abstract: An AI-assisted prototyping system and method that includes receiving, at a computing device, a natural language (NL) input associated with a world, scene or asset, and transmitting the NL input and a context to the AI agent configured to generate computer-executable instructions corresponding to the NL input, where the context includes instruction format data, translations of NL inputs to instructions, or segments of programs. The system receives, from the AI agent, a set of generated instructions corresponding to the NL input and configured to update the world, scene or the asset, generates a set of finalized instructions based on the set of generated instructions, and updates, at the computing device, the world, scene or asset by executing the set of finalized instructions. In some examples, the AI agent is selected based on determining one of at least an intent, request scope or topic associated with the NL input.

  • Publication number: 20250237672
Abstract: An aircraft-based method for deriving synthetic air data (SyAD) independent of traditional pneumatic air data systems includes a first stage driven by machine learning (ML) algorithms trained throughout the aircraft's flight envelope and a second stage driven by an optimal state estimator incorporating non-linear Kalman filtering. The ML algorithms receive absolute and inertial parameter inputs (e.g., position, ground speed, attitude, angular rates, linear acceleration) sensed by absolute and inertial aircraft sensors and estimate a first-stage SyAD triplet (true airspeed, angle of attack, sideslip angle). The optimal state estimator blends the first-stage SyAD estimate with a subset of absolute and inertial parameter inputs to generate a refined blended SyAD triplet. The blended SyAD triplet output by the optimal state estimator refined estimates of the airspeed, angle of attack, and sideslip angle.
