  • Publication number: 20200398801
Abstract: A device for a hydraulic braking system of a vehicle. The device includes a processing unit, which is programmed to determine at least one brake characteristic value of the hydraulic braking system, the processing unit being programmed to determine the at least one brake characteristic value as a vehicle axle-specific brake characteristic value, which in each case corresponds to a ratio between a brake pressure in all wheel brake cylinders assigned to a shared vehicle axle of the vehicle and a vehicle axle braking torque exerted on the shared vehicle axle with the aid of the wheel brake cylinders. A method for determining at least one brake characteristic value of a hydraulic braking system of a vehicle, and a method for decelerating a vehicle with a hydraulic braking system and an electric motor usable as a generator, are also described.

  • Publication number: 20200118011
Abstract: The disclosure generally describes methods, software, and systems for providing solution descriptions. A problem description of a problem is received, from a client, at a cloud-based reasoning service. A solution description for a solution to the problem is received. Case metadata for a case defining the problem and solution are generated by the cloud-based reasoning service. The case metadata, including the problem description and solution description, are stored by the cloud-based reasoning service in a cases repository associating solutions with problems. A new problem is received at the cloud-based reasoning service. An automated analysis of the new problem is performed, and a comparison is made of the new problem with existing solutions in the cases repository to identify solutions matching the new problem. A new solution description is provided that is based on a match between the new problem description and the problem description and using the problem solution.

  • Patent number: 10593536
Abstract: An ultraviolet mercury low-pressure amalgam lamp includes a tube having a first end and a second end, a first electrode placed in the first end of the tube, and a second electrode placed in the second end of the tube, whereby when the lamp is energized a discharge path is formed between the first and second electrodes. At least one amalgam deposit is adjacent to one of the first and second electrodes out of the discharge path between the first and second electrodes. The tube has at least one constriction, wherein the at least one amalgam deposit is placed behind the constriction with respect to the discharge path such that the at least one amalgam deposit is protected by the constriction from the heat emitted by the electrodes.

  • Patent number: 10470614
Abstract: An electrical kitchen appliance for preparing food has an operator control unit for entering control instructions for control of the electrical kitchen appliance by a user. The operator control unit can be removably attached to the electrical kitchen appliance and, in the process, can be operated in a first operating mode and in a second operating mode, wherein the operator control unit for entering control instructions for control of the electrical kitchen appliance by the user is attached to the electrical kitchen appliance in the first operating mode and is removed from the electrical kitchen appliance in the second operating mode. An electrical kitchen appliance of this kind which has an operator control unit which can be individually operated is provided in this way.

  • Publication number: 20140201960
Abstract: Disclosed is an arc flash protection, multiple-use nonwoven fabric structure comprising one or more layers having fire resistant properties. The fabric structure has an arc flash facing nonwoven surface, and a nonwoven part of the fabric structure comprises non-inherent, and/or inherently fire resistant fibers, said fibers being mechanically, chemically, or thermally bonded, whereby the fabric structure has a minimum Arc Thermal Protection Value (ATPV) to fabric basis weight ratio of 250 cal/g, preferably greater than 350 cal/g, more preferably greater than 500 cal/g, when measured in accordance with ASTM F1959—Standard Test Method for Determining the Arc Rating of Materials for Clothing, and the fabric structure maintains said ATPV to fabric basis weight ratio through at least 25 washing cycles when washed according to AATCC Method 135 (3, IV, A iii).
