  • Publication number: 20180216821
Abstract: A lighter includes a lighter body having a fuel reservoir with a fuel-releasing valve, and an assembly such as a piezoelectric system, an electric system or system having a friction wheel rotatable by a user to produce sparks directed to the fuel released by the valve. The friction wheel assembly is mounted on the lighter body such that at least part of the friction wheel is exposed to be handled and rotated by the user. A valve actuator is depressible to actuate the valve and release the fuel. A protective element is mounted on the lighter body and consists of multiple layers. The protective element has a thickness ranging from 25-200 ?m and includes an outer protective film formed by a plastic film coated with an aliphatic polyurethane layer having a thickness ranging from 10-75 containing between 30 and 100% solids, depending on the required degree of smoothness.

  • Publication number: 20180137389
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a plurality of input frames of a video sequence associated with a time t, training a convolutional network to predict one or more future frames of the video sequence from the plurality of input frames based on a generative model, and outputting a first future frame of the video sequence associated with a time t+1 as predicted by the generative model. The training may comprise using an adversarial model and an image gradient difference loss model. In addition, the training may comprise randomly selecting temporal sequences of a n×m grid of pixels from the plurality of input frames exhibiting a threshold of optical flow.

  • Patent number: 9940510
Abstract: Examples disclosed herein provide for the sharing of digital content stored on a device via an image that is representative of the digital content. The device, in response to selection of digital content stored on the device, extracts frames from the digital content that are representative of the digital content. In response to selection of one of the frames, the device captures digitally handwritten customizations made to the selected frame to create a customized image. The device extracts features at least from the handwritten customizations made to the selected frame to identify the customized image. The device uploads the digital content, the customized image, and the extracted features to a remote database.

  • Patent number: 9193438
Abstract: A coupling mechanism between a control member (1?) that generates manual flight commands and a trim actuator (4) forming part of a mechanical transmission train for transmitting flight commands in an aircraft. The coupling mechanism comprises axial engagement means between a lever arm (3) mechanically connected to the control member (1?) and a pivot shaft (10) forming part of the trim actuator (4). The axial engagement means comprise co-operating interlocking members (13, 14) arranged on coupling members (18, 19) constrained to move in rotation respectively with the lever arm (3) and with the pivot shaft (10). Each of the coupling members (18, 19) includes axial passages (26) enabling the other coupling member (18, 19) to pass axially therethrough. An interruption of said axial engagement causes the coupling members (18, 19) to move axially one through the other under the effect of axial thrust (P) exerted by elastically deformable means (15) used for obtaining said axial engagement.

Abstract: A method of aluminization by deposit in the vapor phase for protection against oxidation at high temperature of a metal part of a turbomachine. The part includes a cavity with an opening that can be accessed from the outside. A halide is formed by reaction between a halogen and a metal donor containing aluminum, then the halide is transported by a carrier gas to come into contact with the metal part, the metal donor being placed at least partly in the cavity. The metal donor is in the form of a pellet obtained by hot sintering under pressure of a mixture of metal powder.

  • Publication number: 20080156890
Abstract: The inventive thermostatic element comprises a cup (1) containing a material (3) which is expendable and contractile according to the direction of the temperature variation thereof and a piston (5) which is movable with respect to the cup in the axial direction (X-X) thereof and is coupled to the expendable and contractile material in such a way that it is displaceable in the opposite direction according to the material expansion or contraction. In order to reduce the element response time in a simple and reliable manner, the cup (1) is embodied in one metal piece which internally delimits at least two distinct internal cavities (14A) for receiving at least one part of the expendable and contractile material (3).
