    Abstract: In a surgical composition comprising a liquid monomeric and powdered polymeric acrylate or methacrylate, a catalyst and an accelerator, the composition upon mixing of the liquid and powdered constituents passing through a plastic state to a solid state, the improvement which comprises including in the composition about 1 to 15% by weight of dimethyl sulfoxide. The product exhibits reduced cytotoxicity.
