Abstract: The present disclosure concerns an ice-clearing apparatus for clearing ice from a vehicle roof defining a roof length, the ice-clearing apparatus being displaceable along the roof length in a displacement direction, the ice-clearing apparatus comprising: a frame arrangeable above the vehicle roof and an ice-tapping assembly at least partially made of a resilient material and rotatably mounted to the frame about a first rotation axis substantially transversal to the roof length when in use to at least partially separate the ice from the vehicle roof upon tapping of the ice-tapping assembly onto the vehicle roof. It also concerns an ice-clearing system and a corresponding method for clearing ice from a roof of a vehicle.

Abstract: A system and method of predicting the course of progression of a disease and determining a personalized therapeutic regime for treating the disease in a subject includes obtaining the subject's normal-tissue transcriptome. The normal-tissue transcriptome is statistically correlated with the subject's perturbed transcriptome to identify one or more deregulated mechanisms; and statistics derived from the identified deregulated mechanism are used to predict the course of progression of the disease and to a recommend a personalized therapeutic regime for treating the disease. The perturbed transcriptome may in some cases be determined from a cancer of the subject, and in other cases from viral infected tissue cultured from the subject.

Abstract: There is provided a garment display module and a kit for displaying a plurality of garments mounted on hangers, comprising a base frame having a plurality of frame edges and a plurality of garment display assemblies. Each garment display assembly is configured for displaying garments in a display direction parallel to a corresponding frame edge, and comprises a top bracket member and a bottom bracket member, both extending upwardly from the corresponding frame edge. The top bracket member is adapted for suspending a top set of garments from a first height. The bottom bracket member is spaced from the top bracket member in the display direction and is adapted for suspending a bottom set of garments from a second height. The second height is lower than the first height to thereby at least partially expose the top set of garments over the bottom set of garments in the display direction.

Abstract: A garment display system having a garment-receiving section and a garment-identification section. The garment-identification section associated with the garment-receiving section to properly identify the garments in the garment-receiving section. The garment-identification section is disposed on the garment display system in visual association next to the garment-receiving section. The garment-identification section may also be used to cover a portion of garments in the garment-receiving section. A plurality of garment-receiving sections is assembled together to form a garment display module. Garment-receiving sections in a module are separated by separators. Each garment-receiving section in a module is in visual association with its related garment-identification section. A plurality of modules can be superposed to create a garment display system efficiently using the floor space in a store.
