  • Patent number: 7017695
Abstract: The snow ski is pivotally attached to a snowmobile in order for it to be pivotable about its longitudinal, steering and transversal axes that intersect each other. The ski has a ski sole from which integrally project first and second elongated front lateral keels and an elongated rear central keel. Moreover, rear ski sole depressions are made in the ski sole, at the vicinity of the rear keel. When the ski is in a straight-line position for allowing the snowmobile to move forward in a straight line, it adopts a flat ground-engaging position in which all three keels rest on the ground surface. When the ski is in a turn-carving position for allowing the snowmobile to move forward while turning in a desired direction, the ski is tilted sidewardly with only the central keel and a selected one of the first and second lateral keels resting on the ground, to carve the ground surface in order for the ski to exhibit a self-steering behavior with enhanced gripping effect.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: March 28, 2006
    Assignee: Groupe PPD Inc.

  • Patent number: 5969239
Abstract: Device for monitoring the tires of a vehicle, comprised of a central unit d for each wheel a measurement sensor, a rotating antenna, a stationary antenna, and metallic parts of electromagnetic coupling placed in the environment of the wheel, the hub, and the spindle.

    Inventors: Xavier Tromeur, Andre Meunier
  • Patent number: 5895846
Abstract: A method of processing signals in a system for monitoring tires of a vehi during travel, the system providing for each tire at least one measurement which is characteristic of the condition of inflation of the tire, in which:based on measurements carried out substantially at the same time, the measurement characteristic of one tire is compared with the same measurement of at least one other tire, the result of this comparison is periodically recorded so as to obtain a series of values,an alarm is given off when the variation in time of this series of values satisfies a predetermined relationship.

  • Patent number: 5801306
Abstract: A method of processing signals in a system for monitoring the tires of a icle, in which it is determined whether there is a clearly under-inflated or over-inflated tire as compared with the other tires of the vehicle and the driver is alerted only when the other tires show a homogeneous dispersion of their inflation pressures.

  • Patent number: 5780733
Abstract: A method of processing signals in a system for the monitoring of the tires f a vehicle in which the time necessary in order to obtain a cold state of the tires as a function of the previously identified conditions of use of the vehicle before it was stopped is determined. The method allows verification of the natural losses and variations in climate of the tires of the vehicle.
