The generator and battery pack are electrically connected to the power bus to supply electrical power. The hybrid power supply can be used in outdoor power equipment, which includes a power bus, an electric motor, and the hybrid power supply. The generator is driven by the engine and outputs electrical power to the power bus, while the battery pack is electrically connected to the power bus. This configuration allows direct current power to travel to the power bus, providing a reliable and efficient power source for outdoor power equipment.

Abstract: A hybrid power supply includes an engine configured to rotate a crankshaft, a generator including a rotor and a stator, the rotor coupled to and configured to rotate with the crankshaft to generate alternating-current power, a generator controller including a converter configured to convert the alternating current power to direct current power, and a battery pack electrically connected to the generator controller. The generator controller and the battery pack are configured to be electrically connected to a power bus of an equipment to allow direct current power to travel between the equipment and the hybrid power supply.
