Abstract: Examples of ensemble knowledge transfer in collaborative learning include: receiving, at a primary node, from a plurality of remote nodes, a plurality of trained proxy machine learning (ML) models, wherein each proxy ML model is received from a different one of the plurality of remote nodes, and wherein each of the plurality of remote nodes is remote across a network from the primary node; training a primary ML model using the plurality of proxy ML models, wherein training the primary ML model comprises: for each of a plurality of training cases of a primary training dataset, weighting results from each of the proxy ML models based on at least a confidence of the respective proxy ML model regarding the training case.

Abstract: A vessel or kettle for holding water has a first chamber from which water can be pumped though a filter into a second chamber. The pump can be gravity, manual or power operated. Cold water from the first chamber can be pumped though an annular filter of ion exchange resins into the second chamber where it can be heated. The contents of filter can be held in a replaceable porous bag. A meter can indicate the amount transferred, eg in multiples of a volume such as a cupful. The vessel can have a spout valve that selectively allows the first chamber to be filled or water to be poured from the second chamber. The first chamber and/or the pump can be external to the vessel. The pump can include non-return valves and a siphon system.

Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus comprising a drum for containing and agitating an article, wherein the drum comprises at least two rotatable portions in rotatable connection with one another, a rotator member in connection with each rotatable portion for rotating the portion about an axis. The apparatus is preferably a washing machine, and the method of operating the apparatus comprises inserting at least one article, preferably a plurality of articles, into the drum; and rotating each rotatable portion independently of one another to agitate the article or articles.
