    Abstract: The invention relates to diacids resulting from tetrahydrophthalic acid (chlorendic acid).The diacids correspond to the formula ##STR1## in which R represents the radical ##STR2## or the radical ##STR3## They are prepared using an excess of chlorendic acid. They can be used as fireproofing additives for polymeric materials or as prepolymers for polycondensation reactions.

    Abstract: A stable liquid detergent composition comprises a peroxide derivative, at least one surface-active agent, a salt of a polymer derived from an alpha-hydroxyacrylic acid, which salt contains units of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 independently represent hydrogen atoms or alkyl groups containing from 1 to 3 carbon atoms which may or may not be substituted and where M represents a cationic radical resulting from the dissociation of a base, and at least one solvent.
